Lake Lure Inn & Spa

I only had a brief experience, but my observation is that this was a really historic and iconic building. That is well past prime

We had a room with a jetted tub. It worked great, but the shower didn't work at all. There were pubic hairs under the toilet seat. Most of the blinds didn't close. The bed creaked and sagged in the middle. I loved the history of the hotel and the staff was amazing.

We loved the Inn and will definitely be back! The in-room jacuzzi was so wonderful and it was spacious with plenty of room for our things. The only reason I removed a star is because the bed was beautiful but VERY uncomfortable. Definitely needing some mattress upgrades. But other than that, everything was wonderful.

We loved the history of the Inn and do recommend others to visit. What I missed most was having a refrigerator in our room, but I was told later by the staff that for $10 they would have brought a small one up to our room if we had asked them to but we didn’t know that until we were leaving. It’s a beautiful place and I enjoyed seeing the bears in the area. Be very careful around the pool area. That’s where we saw the little bear in the trash bin! The beach area was closed the weekend we were there because of the weather ( lots of rain during the week bringing up debris which was would have been dangerous for the little ones.) We enjoyed the trip to Chimney Rock and all the places we ate at were amazing! Great food and staff there at the Lake Lure Inn!!! We will be back again soon to support the people there!!!

The property needs some work but it’s part of the charm of the place so I’m very happy I chose to stay there ♥️

Great location across from the lake. Wonderful historic atmosphere, well maintained and clean. Nice front porch with rocking chairs. I would stay there again.

This place is dirty...don't care about hotel guest...rude and annoying. Need to work on personal. U don't cash...no one knows and it suxs to pay so much and still pay to sit on Beach in front of hotel..u need to work on ur stuff!! Very disappointed!

Staff were so friendly and welcoming! The historic aspect of it might come across as "dated" to some but we loved every bit of the charm and spent time reading all the signs and articles around! Would have loved to stay on a day the restaurant and lounge were open but our trip didn't accommodate that! The pool was the perfect temperature and parking was easy. The AC worked great and rooms were a great size. Bed was extremely comfortable!

Make sure you go to Lastrada's restaurant for the best pizza in the world.

Location was convenient to other area attractions. Being assigned to a motel room in back of the resort. Was told it was because I had utilized booking.com for my reservation. I requested a refund for the second nite since I was planning to leave the next day. Was told no refund.
