Sunlac Inn

When I drove up to the Motel, I was not so happy with the choice. Very rough looking outside. Nothing had been picked up in quite a while. The first set of double doors didn't close all the way, and the entry was a mess. Looked like it hadn't been vacuumed for a long time. After I got in my opinion changed. Seemed clean and the clerk was nice and helpful. The room was also clean and fine by me. A little outside clean up might help in attracting more customers.

The breakfast was great. Two eggs, bacon/sausage, hashbrowns, toast, oj. All the items were fresh cooked. They have a full service restaurant for other meals. They are in the process of redecorating the rooms, so everything is new and fresh. The bed was comfortable. They had a restaurant for late eating, a bar, dollar store for forgotten items closeby and gas station. The check in process. I had to find someone in the kitchen to check me in. The cook tried his best but still had problems. The computer booked me into a room that was in the process of being refurbished. A quick trip to the front desk, solved the problem quickly.

Staff was very friendly and helpful Water on the floor around the AC units, no grips in the bathtub and I almost fell, carpets need to be cleaned, water spots in the ceiling, owner needs to care more and fix up the issues

Power kept going out. But it was ok and affordable.

The breakfast was delicious & breakfast area very nice. We also had something to eat at the bar the night before which was great. We’ve never stayed in Lakota before but the experience was well worth it. We also liked the small town atmosphere. The people of the community were very friendly. There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.

Very good customer service. Clean and comfy bed. I only rate 4 stars because the last room was stinky with cigarette smoke.

Property was clean but they gave my reservation away.

Rooms are a bit outdated but that’s really it. The rooms are big. Staff are really nice, helpful and I would come back.

No one at front desk to check us in then someone came but didn't know how to work computer, he was the cook. Told us to come back we came back, but us in a room but it was a single bed, we reserved a king. Went to front desk again then they put us in a king room got to room and it was dirty. That guy at from desk was the cook/bartender, told us to come back again. We back with got into a room but still was not a king room. And 3 hours later finally got into a room.

Staff was great, bar/restaurant had excellent food, prices and service.

The hotel needs to torn down. Horrible shape.

We expected to have breakfast as mentioned when we checked in and it wasn’t open when we left at 6:30

Really dirty hallways, bathroom and thin walls. Was woken up at 5am but guests in other rooms. The only plus was good hot water & clean sheets.

While the rooms were clean, the structure shows signs of water leakage in the walls. It needs some major renovation. The ad on Expedia says registration is open till 11pm. I sent a mail thru Expedia twice indicating I was a late arrival, after 9:30pm. When we arrived door was locked! Bar was open and bartender found our keys and immediately shut down the bar. If we had arrived 10 minutes later we would not have had a place to sleep as it’s the only motel within 30 miles.

Great staff and food . Facilities showing its age . Comfortable and clean .

Over charged. Got charged for 3 nights. Got refunded 1 night. Still charged for an additional night that I didn't stay. Was told I'm b3ing charg3d due to markers marked on the sheets while the room they told me was wrong.

They gave me a room that was not or had not been cleaned. Trash everywhere, sheets and pillows were on the floor and thrown on bed, lots of facial hair on counter of bathroom.
