Best Western Plus Layton Park Hotel

We were told maintenance would come take a look, so we waited outside the room, but nobody came and we never received the call we were told we would get. Later, we were told maintenance wouldn’t be able to come until the next day. The plug for the jetted tub also did not work, which was especially frustrating because the jacuzzi was the main reason we chose this room in the first place. We had already decorated the room for my husband’s birthday, so having to deal with a wet, moldy-smelling room and maintenance issues completely took away from what was supposed to be a special night. We tried to resolve the issue and request a refund or reasonable compensation. We were directed back and forth between the property and Expedia, and the issue was escalated to the property manager. Despite that, the property manager never got back to us regarding the refund. I understand that problems can happen at any hotel, but the lack of follow-up is what makes this especially disappointing. A room with wet carpet and a strong mold/mildew odor should have been taken seriously and resolved promptly. I would not recommend staying here based on our experience.

This was a good location for spending the morning at Antelope Island State Park. The staff was very helpful and allowed an hour of grace on checkout, so we could return and change clothes before heading north where it would be colder.

Breakfast was great each day. I would recommend a change of TV remote in the room however. It was working poorly.

The worst thing was the pool and jacuzzi area. My son wanted to have some fun there, but the place was very dirty. Both pool and jacuzzi had large brown stains on the floor (and seats for the jacuzzi). He himself (8yo) said that it was disgusting and he did not want to use it. The rest is Best Western level…

Nice, clean hotel walking distance to restaurants and Conference Center, right off the freeway. Room was next to elevator, but noise was barely noticeable. Indoor Pool and Hot Tub were nice to have. Did not eat breakfast, but looked good. Would stay here again.

Everything was clean and breakfast was great.

We stay here every year to visit family living nearby. Always amazing and this time was no different. Room is comfortable, easy check-in and the breakfast options are amazing! We will be back next year!!!

Room accommodations were perfect for what we wanted. My only critique would be to upgrade the mattresses as they were quite hard.

The room was super clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent! We especially liked the honeycomb. What a great touch for a hotel breakfast!

We were SO pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We're on a two week road trip and this had the best breakfast and most comfortable beds out of everywhere we stayed. Would definitely stay again!

we were on the 3rd floor and they put a family with children right above us and the kids running around back and forth made it sound like a hurd of elephants for both nights
