Nothing Advertised as a 3 star but barely passes as a poor 2 star hotel. Later we discovered it was a 2 star hotel before Ibis took over. There were no smoke detectors in the rooms. Incredibly noisy road made it utterly impossible to sleep. The noisiest hotel I've ever had the misfortune to stay at and I've been travelling to France for over 30 years. Other 3 star Ibis hotels we've stayed at had air-con and modern decor such as Granville and Calais. This hotel is beyond basic and should be rated a 1-2 star at best. The bedding brought my husband out in a severe rash which compounded our misery. Furniture was tatty, scuffed and scratched. Having recently had surgery I needed to used the lift....it has to seen to be believed. The staff failed to mention that early evening you need a code to access the hotel.....hence I was locked out and only that another kind resident let me in I'm not sure what I would have done. My advise avoid; we certainly will in the future.

Spacious, newly furnished comfortable double room with a good functional bathroom, with large walk-in shower; huge balcony! Enddy looked after us beautifully, preparing an early packed breakfast (for all members of our group, about 12 in total) to take on our journey. Given that we were leaving at 4.30am, this was above and beyond what was expected. Overall, breakfasts were good. The location, near to the Cathedral & a short walk down to the harbour was very convenient. A super cafe situated just outside the front door (part of the hotel building) - great for daytime snacks and drinks. I found the old fashioned retro corridors and stairwells a little tired and not to my liking, but this didn’t spoil my stay.

Breakfast was lovely, and allowed me to invite two friends to share. They enjoyed the meal too. Not enough hooks, shelves, etc. especially in bathroom.

Good location and relatively spacious room. Some maintenance issues.

The hotel was exactly what I expected given the style and price. The room was large, very clean, quite comfortable. The only thing I'd mention here is the friendliness of the receptionist. I don't expect to be received with open arms and flowers, but a smile, some manners in speaking wouldn't go amiss. His very abrupt 'Questions?' was off-putting. I was like a very stern interrogation. We were conversing in French all the time. I work in French, so the language was not the problem.

Very noisy! you could hear the shower from next room. Badly isolated from the street. Lift super narrow...

Lots of breakfast options! Better than most hotels! I loved everything!

Breakfast was poor. Parking was expensive and difficult had to use public car park. Food was poor didn’t bother with breakfast. Room and bed were ok good view of street which was nice. Breakfast wasn’t great.
