Hotel de la Plage

The hotel is right on the beach, very nice sandy beach. Parking is a little bit difficult, on the other side of the street there is a free parking area, but you have to leave the things in front of the hotel and drive the other side, take the pedestrian tunnel back to hotel... And the sunbeds are 20 EUR's, even you are staying at the hotel :( That is a little bit surprise!!!!

Beach and water absolutely beautiful. Hotel directly on the beach. Restaurant and bar are nice, good quality. The room needed some renewal, but for the price and location it was ok.

Marvelous hotel right on the beautiful beach with an outstanding service! The surrounding is beautiful, with pines creating shadow on the hotel territory in front of the sea. The beach is sandy with small stones, it’s fine to swim without any special shoes. Nice for kids as well. We stayed there unplanned, but that appeared to be the best stay on the coast from Cassis to Le Lavandou. If you are looking for several days of peaceful chill at the seaside without crowd and noise of the resorts, this is just for you. We spent one day in the room with sea view and terrace , which is awesome ! And another day in room with a balcony and sea view. You can hear the waves from the sea, but you can also hear happy people in the bar right in front of the hotel ? so, you decide ? with closed windows it’s ok to sleep while people are having fun in the bar. The sun beds are of extra charge , But the beauty is you can book them. 10 eur per 1 sunbed for the whole day - in the first row (closest to the beach on the hotel terrace). There are beach towels provided by the hotel. The restaurant is really nice. They serve standard breakfast: croissants, baguette, butter, cheese, jam, yoghurts, fruit , fresh orange and you can choose hot beverage. Black coffee and cappuccino are really nice. Throughout the day you can order a-la carte. And the menu is really nice and delicious,. There is also a menu of the day, which changes every day: 2 starters, 2 main dishes, 2 desserts. You can order them as full menu (34 eur total) or separately, as starter / main dish / desert of the day. Which is really nice, because every day you have something new.

1. We were given a room at the backside, when we complained about the highway noise and told them that we could not sleep at night, although the hotel had free rooms, they could change if we pay 34 Euros more for each day, they were too rigid. 2.The breakfast is served in a tray and poor quality, we did not have, they do not have a coffee/tea maker in the rooms. 3.I have beaten by insects and mosquitoes, they are all over the room and the hotel. There is no precaution, plug for insects in the rooms, when I requested the plug from the manager, she said they had none. 4. Although the hotel has sunbeds, the other frequent customers come and tell you that the sunbeds are reserved (there is no reservation needed and the reception does not mention such a thing) and so you have to move to another sunbed at the back rows. This happened to many customers like us and the staff was so rude to take the sunbeds of some customers and give those to the ones who are long term customers .
