Novotel Le Mans

Gelukkig was het maar voor 1 nacht. Ze hebben onze kamer van 2de verdiep naar 1ste verplaats. Gratis parking en omheind De buurt waar het hotel zich bevind geeft zeker geen veilig gevoel. Kom je toe, krijg je te zien dat de lift niet werkt, met het excuus dat het te warm is buiten. Blijkbaar ook een voorkomend probleem die al jaren terugkomt. Ooit had Novotel een grote naam en was bekend voor kwaliteit en service, deze is blijkbaar verdwenen met de jaren. En dit hotel is niet de enige. Mijn zoon is mindervalide dus trappen doen, absoluut niet gemakkelijk. Parkeerplaats ook niet echt gereserveerd voor mensen met een beperking. Paardenkarren die er staan en mensen die te lui zijn achteraan te parkeren. Dit word ook niet in het ook gehouden. We kregen te horen dat ontbijt volgende ochtend tot 10:30 was en in de ochtend bleek het maar tot 10:00 te zijn en dit op een zondag. Dus hier weeral negatief. De producten in de kamer zoals bodylotion en zeep, zouden ter beschikking moeten zijn, nee je krijgt mooie lege flessen van rituals. En geluidsisolatie 0, je hoort alles van uw buren, de deuren slagen heel hard dicht en je hebt geen nacht rust.

Chicane resturant food and staff was excellent.

Rooms and exterior could do with an updating

Nice size pool, some friendly staff, some not so friendly. Seemed like it needed a good refresh, old and musty smell, the rooms were not in great condition compared to other Novotel. The poor area could do with a refurb and a refresh.

Bar area Expensive breakfast . Cooked items looked unattended and unedible, poor selection, 1 small toaster that didn’t work properly. Safe in room didn’t work.

Breakfast was quite expensive if I remember well. Found a nice bakery not too far for excellent and cheaper breakfasts.

Very quiet at night and staff helpful A bit tired decor and off the track when using the A28. Le Mans is a road work nightmare

Hotel a little tired and needs to be ‘aired’ as the rooms smelt old and could probably do with a refresh. Pool was closed which we were aware of, but it was 21c all week so disappointing they couldn’t open it a week or two early! Reception and bar area was funky in a race way, and car park semi secure. Novotel need to stay ahead of competition as sharper hotels at less money out there. Staff were exceptional and worked well to make you feel welcome - they made up for the lack of investment. Food plates - need to be scrubbed before they hit the dish washer please.??

Location good. Reception areas was a large table beside a child’s play area. Foul smell from sink in bathroom permeated bedroom. Didn’t have breakfast as was 20€ each!

The hotel is old and the rooms are dated . Staff were efficient and friendly with excellent English language. The lift needs maintenance as it is quite jerky in operation . It's rated for 5 people but there is a sign outside limiting it to 2 people ! The bathroom looked like it was fitted out in the 80's and shower controls very stiff to operate .

For an Accor. Hotel it wasn't a patch on an ibis styles Being asked for 100€ deposit when I had paid on line and intended to pay cash for any additions Prices of wine and beer were extortionate choice of 3 wines of each colour at 29, 42 and 52 euros a bottle Beer at 10€ for 50cl Having to eat a very mediocre dinner, served by clueless staff with our overcoats on because the heating was not working, were we forewarned -no. Altogether an experience not to be recommended

Charming staff,clean throughout. Would definitely stay again The -4° temperature when i arrived, but that's not the hotels fault ?

Regular stopover on way to the gers. Ideal for us and our dogs. Service in the restaurant can be a bit hit and miss
