The breakfasts are out of this world! If you don't have a big appetite only order 1 and it will easily feed 2 people. There are stairs to get to the rooms but there is a lift for your luggage.

The breakfasts are a literal feast. Sweet or savoury- both are delicious but almost too much. The host and hostess Salvio and Monica were exceptional in their attention to cleanliness and detail and guest requirements. We were part of the family. They are very kind and generous. They picked us up from the airport and when we left they drove us back to the airport. Nothing

Everything was nice , comfortable and clean

Our stay in Lecce with Monica and Salvio was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. Salvio met us at the apartment, gave us a full tour, and made sure we felt completely at home. The apartment itself was spotless, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed. We especially loved the small balcony with a table and stools — perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Salvio even has a lift for luggage, which was a lifesaver for getting everything up the stairs! But the real highlight of our stay was the breakfast. Salvio is an absolute artist in the kitchen — every dish looked like something out of MasterChef. We were able to choose between sweet and savory options, so we tried one of each and shared. Every single bite was out of this world. Coming from California, we’ve had our fair share of guacamole and avocado dishes, but Salvio’s avocado tart with poached egg was hands down the best we’ve ever had. The cheesecake with Primitivo wine reduction was heavenly, and even the yogurt with muesli was bursting with flavor. It was clear that each dish was prepared with love and incredible attention to detail. On our second day, before we headed out to explore Gallipoli, Salvio even created a mini itinerary for us. Thanks to his thoughtful suggestions, we spent the day discovering hidden gems and beautiful historical and geographical sites — it was one of the best days of our trip. Location was perfect to get around and see Lecce, we walked all over and it is beautiful! If we ever return to Lecce (and we hope we do!), we will absolutely stay with Salvio and Monica again. Their hospitality, kindness, and passion for hosting made our stay truly special. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Lecce — it’s a five-star experience all around. Lovely accommodation , a short walk into Lecce Vecchio and most of all the caring and wonderful owners Salvio and Monica. The 5 star breakfasts were indulgent and delicious - prepared and served with the utmost care and attention to detail comprised of regional specialties and local products all expertly prepared by Salvio. He is passionate about his creations and it is evident in every bite ! Thank you to Salvio and Monica for a wonderful stay in Lecce- we will be back !

Great location and great breakfast

Our week at Habitare Lecce was nothing short of extraordinary — not merely a stay, but an experience that touched the heart and soul. From the moment we arrived, Salvio and Monica welcomed us not only as guests, but as friends. Their warmth, generosity, and attention to detail created an atmosphere of grace and genuine hospitality that is increasingly rare to find. Each morning, Salvio created a Michelin-star-worthy breakfast, crafted with love and precision. We alternated between the sweet and savory menus, sharing and savoring both — local delicacies presented on elegant ceramic plates, each bite telling the story of Lecce and its land. The care and intention behind every ingredient were so palpable that I found myself moved to tears — not just by the taste, but by the heart behind it. Our time there unfolded like a love letter to Puglia. Salvio arranged unforgettable experiences for us — a refined olive oil tasting led by Cristiana, an olive sommelier whose knowledge deepened our appreciation of this sacred local craft. Her personally selected oils were so delicious, I could not go home without getting some for when I return to New York. After the tasting, Salvio prepared a meal that harmonized perfectly with the oils. On another day, we visited a local dairy, watching Pino create mozzarella, burrata, and ricotta. Again, tears filled my eyes — everything we tasted, every gesture we witnessed, radiated passion and authenticity. Salvio even guided us on a personal walking tour of Lecce, sharing its hidden corners, stories, and flavors — ending the day at a small bakery where we tasted divine pasticciotti, still warm from the oven. Leaving Habitare was unexpectedly emotional. Salvio and Monica had become more than hosts — they had become friends, people whose kindness and artistry will stay with us long after our suitcases are unpacked. If Lecce is the heart of Puglia, Habitare is surely its soul.
It’s not just a place to rest — it’s a place to feel.

Hospitality of hosts was amazing, many nice touches to the room, breakfast is unparalleled, finding parking is easy on the street in front of BnB. Would love to have hooks in bathroom to hang towels and maybe a safe, but not a dealbreaker. And be prepared to take some stairs (though you won't be lugging you luggage due to ingenious baggage elevator).

Parking information is misleading It is just a street parking and it is not guaranteed.

Only a five minute walk to the historic centre and we were able to park our car on the street as it was just outside the restricted zone. The room was well designed, comfortable and clean and the apartment beautifully maintained. Salvio and Monica were very welcoming and helpful giving excellent restaurant recommendations. A fabulous breakfast gave the opportunity to sample locally produced food. Not a problem for us at all but if anyone has mobility issues there is no lift.

The hosts are welcoming, more than friendly, helpful in the most positive way. The breakfasts are delicious and a work of "heart", the room is very comfortable. The stairs are not a problem for luggage because there is an ingenious luggage lift The only suggestion is if a person has significant heart, lung or arthritic disease the stairs would be difficult.

The place was in a great location, ten minutes walk from the main area. parking on the street is free. The room was well decorated and had anything we needed. The most amazing part about our stay was the exceptional breakfast! Very unique and thoughtful, by Monica and Salvio our hosts. Thank you for the amazing stay

This is a charming and comfortable stay in a good location near Lecce’s old town. The decor is eclectic and modern and the rooms are very comfortable with all the amenities that you need. The breakfast is absolutely outstanding - the hosts prepare plates that are works of art with fresh local ingredients. The hosts are also very helpful with driving and sight-seeing advice.

What a wonderful place to stay. I only wish we could have stayed longer, if only to eat breakfast there every day. The owners were so kind, caring, helpful, generous, personable. The property is only a few blocks away from the historic center of Lecce with so much to see, so many good places to eat, so much to just sit and watch. The room was clean, comfortable, and very uniquely decorated. It was fun to return to it each evening. We had a small balcony and enjoyed just stepping out to watch the neighborhood. And then there was breakfast - a choice between sweet and savory every morning, prepared individually and introduced by Salvio the host and chef. Each morning's breakfast was unique, authentic southern Italian fare, prepared with so much care and flare. And always more than either my husband or I could eat. There was never a need for lunch. I was initially hesitant about the stairs as there is no elevator but there was no problem. There is a small lift for luggage so no need to carry anything up or down. There was nothing I didn't enjoy immensely about this property.
