Very spacious suite just 5 minutes outside old city. Nice pool to refresh on hot afternoon. Off-street parking. Good breakfast. Hospitable hostess. Bikes available for those brave enough to venture out into boulevards of Lecce. Huge terrace. No wine glasses or coffeemaker/kettle in room.

The staff, the room, the pool

The beautiful marble floor and the balcony of our room was lovely. Mirella the staff member we communicated with was very friendly and helpfull The room facilities were disappointing. The tv was ridiculously high on the wall. The towels very thin and one was fraying. The rug next to bed grubby and the top hanging part of wardrobe unusable unless you were over 2 metres tall. Coffee and tea making facilities in room would have been nice and room was not serviced at all although we stayed 3 nights.

The location, 2 min walking time to the downtown and close to the highway is a great place to visit Lecce and the Salento for day trips. The swimming pool is a savior after a hot day. Located in between two supermarkets and few take-away shops gives you the possibility to buy food almost anytime. Last but not least, private parking available if you have a car. The breakfast is good for the B&B rate but having to choose the pastry in advance steals little bit the magic of the holiday mood.

My vacation took a strange turn when my partner got injured and was in the hospital in Lecce for 2 weeks. In need of a place to stay while he recovered, I booked Giardino di Flora. It was the best decision I made for our entire trip. The house is beautiful inside and out, and the rooms are clean and airy with AC for the hot days. The pool was also a life saver during my second week when a heatwave hit. The neighborhood is quiet at all hours and I slept very well here. But the star of the show is the staff. Bibiana and Mirella took very good care of me and did everything they could to make me feel at home during my unexpectedly long stay. Given I was stuck in a foreign country where I had no friends or family, it was wonderful to have such warm and considerate people around me. I can’t thank them enough for all their kindness and support. I will come back to Salento and try again for a proper vacation — and I will definitely book Giardino di Flora.

Exceptional

It is a little oasis in a busy area. The off street parking is great as it would be difficult to find a parking space nearby at the end of your day. Bibiana & Marella plus another lady whose name I don’t know (but she spoke excellent English) were very friendly staff who looked after us well & gave good advice for places to visit. A little way out from the old town. Maybe 20 minute walk

Bright, clean place. Room lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was good - very helpful, friendly lady sorting out the breakfast. Just a few issues - couldn’t work the shower and the fobs for the gate needing batteries - but all was sorted in the most friendly, helpful manner.

The hotel was very pleasant. We really enjoyed the pool. It was a good 25 minute walk into the old historic city, however while I should be writing a lovely review I cannot for reasons below. Finding the hotel was very stressful which is why I'm giving it such a low score. I dont know if this is a Booking.com issue or the hotel but the address of the hotel is unacceptably given in conversational Italian and not the actual postal address. It basically translates as 'On the corner between Via Di Leuca and Via Bennini.... and so no sat nav can find it. And we tried with a stand alone TomTom, Google maps and Apple Maps. However we don't speak Italian, and we were international travellers who had no idea of the layout of the city. Apple maps unhelpfully defaulted to taking us right into the historic centre and a Euro100 fine. We raised it with the host and she confirmed that the ONLY way of finding the hotel is to put the name of the hotel and not the address into Google Maps. This is utterly insane. Booking.com should be making sure that the postal address of the hotel is always given.

Swimming pool is great and well maintained. Spacious room, air conditioning works very well. Breakfast is ok, however, nothing special. Complimentary water in the fridge. Shower in triple room is broken and you can’t close the shower completely. We stayed 2 nights, but we did not receive extra toiletries( shampoo and shower gel) after first use. Location is far by walking, all good restaurants are far away. Parking is only for 3 cars, however, the street parking is free.
