I stayed at Essence at Ladakh in Leh while traveling alone and felt very comfortable throughout my stay. The rooms are nicely furnished and offer a good amount of space. I visited during the absolute pre-season, when Leh was still quite deserted. This made the experience feel very special in a way, though of course, some infrastructure was still missing. It’s also worth noting that the room could get quite cold at times, which was mainly due to the time of year. All in all, a very recommendable place to stay.

Very nice and pleasant room, everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Excellent bathroom with hot water and all accessories Wi-Fi in room 205 could be better, very slow, not enough for work

- The location is excellent, near to the main market. - The design of the hotel is good and spacious. - The rooms are spacious - The bathroom in the rooms were spacious - The rooms did not have a full size mirror - The Lightning in the bathrooms can be improved as there were very dim lights (low brightness) - The windows should have mosquito nets to get fresh air in the room - The size of the soap provided is too small - One of the room’s wardrobe was dusty from inside - Housekeeping can be improved - Bath towels were not having good smell - The food at the restaurant needs to be improved as it was spicy and oil even for Indian tastebuds - The service at the restaurant was very poor as the items were not refilled timely. The problem was that we had to ask for each item everytime we needed it as they were not refilled - The service overall wasn’t up to the mark which we expect from a hotel of this category - The outfits of serving staff in the restaurant were dirty, so how can we expect the food to be at a high level of hygiene -The hotel overall does not present a good value for money

Everything was fantastic. Would recommend this hotel to all. Very comfortable and value for money. We had to over stay for a few hours and they were kind enough not to charge us extra.

What a beautiful place! The pictures do not do justice to the wonderful view one has at the property. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Despite being there in the spring, we did not freeze in the room and the shower was perfectly hot. The staff has been very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again Some food items were not available, but that was likely to the lack of availability in the off season

There was a lot to like - cleanliness, modern spacious rooms with amazing bathrooms, hospitality (great staff), peaceful (absolutely no noise around), the property restaurant (some of the best food we had in Leh), etc. The only thing I didn’t like was the Wi-Fi. I don’t know if it’s the case with other properties in Leh as well, but Wi-Fi only worked in common areas and that too with a speed that is not upto current standards.

Quiet, clean, ceiling fan, hot water kettle in room for coffee/tea, comfortable bed, good restaurant. Tv is completely useless, in room Wi-Fi is terrible. If a room is $100+ per night, Wi-Fi should be strong and satellite tv should have a few English speaking channels.
