Hot water not consistently available

The staff is really great, with a personal touch and keep a relatively tight ship. The dorms are also pretty comfortable and clean, with the beds really well isolated with the curtains compared to other dorms I've been to. Hot water was a bit of an issue which was solved with a bucket of hot water from reception.

Location, upkeep and vibe. Hostel rooms were clean, I stated in a private room, but the best part of the room was 24 hr hot running water even in the basin. All in all very comfortable stay, bonfires were excellent Heating in rooms wasn’t there. While room heaters might further reduce oxygen levels in rooms, but it’s quite needed.

Great view Too much noise, no gym
-
Nice comfy simple A little pricey in comparison to what you can get for the same price

Cost us a lot of money more than any other place we checked after leaving, there was no hot water on shower, and it is 10-15 minutes walk from main area.

We arrived tired and exhausted from our flights, landing straight in Leh. We booked a place on Booking.com and hoped for the best – we couldn’t have imagined just how much we’d fall in love with it! The room was bright and beautiful, with a view of the mountains. Since we stayed for a week and a half, we got to experience all types of rooms - dorms, lower private rooms, and higher private rooms. Each had its own charm, with hot water, electricity, and a high level of comfort. The staff was so wonderful, and after a week and a half, we truly felt like family. The place has a young and friendly atmosphere, where people connect through conversations and music. There are evenings with live performances, which were simply amazing. We can’t wait to come back!

Hotel staff are friendly and helpfull. Location is good. Morning breakfast / coffee great value Some long hairs found on my duvet cover. Hostel can not be cleaning these after each visitor has exited the premises. This is unacceptable

Good location, friendly staff, spacious room, hot water all the time Was too noisy till late in the evening because of the music and peoples talks on the rooftop cafe. The room was just beneath the cafe so you hear every movement up there.

This place is a trap! Meant the best possible way. You come for one night and keep extending, because of the vibe of the whole place, nicest people, friendliest staff and owner.. They help you with everything here - rent a scooter, plan your hike, do your laundry… if you travel solo and want to make some friends def reccomend to stay at Rainbow. Thank you for having me and the best memories

The location is good and there is a luggage room to store items while trekking. We stayed at Rainbow in a private double room for four nights in total during our stay in Leh and to be honest, I wouldn’t go back. The rooms were extremely noisy up until midnight each night and from 7 in the morning. The WiFi connections (of which there are 3) are all so bad we couldn’t even do basic tasks such as transferring money and booking flights. Lastly, the hot water only worked for a short time and that was after we had multiple staff on both occasions come and arrange the water cylinder. The staff are nice enough but it seems that there is no management system, I had to go up to the terrace myself at midnight to ask guests to turn off their Bluetooth speaker. All in all a disappointing experience.

Lovely views and comfortable room. Tausef the owner is a legend and really helped us make the most of our time in Leh.

Host, food, cleanliness

Comfortable place to hang out and chill, with clean rooms, helpful staff, beautiful atmosphere and great facilities. The bed was very hard. The upstairs cafe/restaurant is also very noisy and bright until 11pm. Not great if you’re chasing an early night.

Everything! Wish I could've stayed longer!
