Hospedaje La Anita

I stayed at this location because it was close to where I had an activity scheduled. The stay was great; the check-in process was easy, and they even waited for us to arrive after midnight. The entrance is a bit tricky to find from the street as it isn't clearly marked. Make sure you have a working phone to call them; otherwise, it’s hard to be sure you're at the right door.

Exceptionally accommodating host. There’s other travelers there, and sometimes we had breakfast together so that was lovely, especially as a solo traveler. My bathroom was on a different floor, and I felt bad having to ring the bell every time I needed to be let in (as opposed to having a key/password)

We needed to be near the German embassy so this was good for us location wise. It is near public transport as well so you can get to other places easily, and there are some small stores nearby for snacks. Since the neighborhood is quiet and not very touristy most restaurants are a bit further away, and it was hard to find laundry places, but that was OK in our case. The apartment was very neat and felt luxurious. The owner was friendly, made some nice breakfast and helped us get to the historic centre by bus :)

The hotel is located very near the bus station so getting there earlier in the morning was very easy and convenient. Both the room and the bathroom were clean. The owner we spoke with via phone was super friendly, helpful and nice, wish the in person experience was the same. Unfortunately, the whole time, we had a feeling that we were bothering the owners. When we arrived, a girl let us in with a very hostile and annoyed attitude. She showed us our room and the bathroom but since we received only keys from the room itself, she had a hard time to tell us how to get to the house through the gate itself. We wanted to know where we can find the closest ATM, possibly buy a SIM card, but she wasn't even able to help us describe that and the whole time was looking at us like we were wasting her time. Unfortunately, the breakfast was a huge disappointment as well, served by the same lady from whose facial expression was clear that she wasn't really thrilled to get up at 7.30 on Sunday because of us. We received a couple slices of bread, a few slices of ham, instant coffee and juice. Also, the sink in the bathroom is not in a very smart location, making opening the door very troublesome.

We had a wonderful stay at Hospedaje la anita! Our host was wonderful, really helpful with dinner recommendations and a delicious breakfast. The room was bright and clean and the location is perfect for getting the Cruz Del Sur bus. We would 100% recommend staying here.

Nice, clean, good area

Superb host take his time for answering every question! Highly recommend. Location is safe and next to Bus Cruz del Sur terminal. Good breakfast with own produced products of their farm in Arequipa. Beds are a bit older but still ok.
