Wester Auchraw Croft B&B

The yurt was beautiful and really cosy. The bed was incredibly comfortable and it was a really relaxing place to stay on a rainy summer day. The breakfast was delicious and the host was very welcoming. We enjoyed meeting the animal friends too! The bathroom is beautiful decorated and the shower was great, however, although it is listed as a shared bathroom, it is not clear that you have to walk through someone’s house to get there. However, we did not find this a problem as the hosts were very welcoming.

The location was fantastic, the yurt was comfy and atmospheric, Melanie was lovely and her breakfast was delicious. Nothing.

Everything about this place is magical! I definitely recommend it for people that love nature and peace!

We had an enjoyable stay at Wester Auchraw Croft. The host, Melanie, is welcoming, generous and unique. She cooks the most tasty and unforgettable breakfast. The setup around the breakfast table encourages friendly interactions with the other guests. The house is sensitively renovated by Melanie. It is stylish and decorated with her own art. We had a comfortable room at one end of the house with its own bathroom. One tiny improvement would be a heated towel rail. We stayed for 3 nights and after the first shower, our towels remained damp throughout.

Lovey host, tasty breakfast. Spacious and warm. Had a remarkably difficult time finding the Wi-Fi code in the room or communal areas.

This is a beautifully renovated croft with lovely comfortable beds, lots of great attention to detail like shampoo, body wash, real coffee bags and biscuits. The host even provides eye masks. The location is lovely, right opposite a small loch, where we swam in the morning and Mel suggested a lovely walk which we also did. The breakfast was home made and absolutely delicious. It was the perfect stop off on the way back down south. Mel is full interesting wisdom and lovely person.

Me and wife really enjoyed our stay. Fantastic vuews from our room,very clean,spacious, and our host was just Fantastic. We felt like visiting our best friend. Freshly made breakfast was top class.

Exceptional

We had a pleasant stay overall. The breakfast was delicious and the host was very friendly and welcoming. there are a few areas that could be improved. The hot water supply stopped suddenly, and two of my friends were left without hot water. The yurt could also be cleaner, as there was dust on the walls and some spider webs (as shown in the photos). In addition, the duvet felt quite old and seemed to have been used many times.

This is a really lovely place. Quiet, calm and cosy The host is fantastic, really kind and lots of knowledge of the area and recommendations. We were only here for the one night, but it was great. Really well appointed space and the host went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. The loch side location is beautiful with nice walks, veey peaceful. You're also not far from local sights like the mirrored man and local amenities.
