At this time - August 2026, I would not recommend Chief Logan lodge. There's an HVAC/cooling problem that is being worked on but our real issue was the smell. Staff moved us to 3 different rooms but all had a terrible odor that caused one of us to have burning eyes and another to have a sore throat. We don't know if the A/C was the culprit or something else. So we did not stay the night. Staff gave us a refund on our prepaid room.

The facility was clean. The staff was very helpful in accommodating me to get checked in early. They staff was also very professional and friendly. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. I did not get a chance to eat, due to time restraint.

The hot tub was toxic at first with chlorine however hey did fix after a few hours. It's a really great place though:)

Logan Lodge is the best place to stay. The staff are friendly, the place is clean, quiet, and they have a wonderful breakfast with several choices, like eggs, gravy, sausage, biscuits, waffles, fruit, cereal, yogurt. There is an indoor pool also. The lodge is located in the mountains of W.Virginia. I love staying here.

Only thing we didn't like was the small breakfast selection. Everything else was Awesome.

I think are the WVa state parks are remarkable. Well kept. We enjoyed our visit and had zero complaints.

The rooms were very clean, everything was perfect, the hotel was great. The pool was clean and great to swim in then after that hope into the spa to relax. The chief is just a excellent place to stay to come to when you want a place to relax.

The lodge is an excellent place to reserve. Comfortable and relaxing. Definitely a thumbs up

The room was clean and comfortable. The lodge is undergoing some renovations. One wall of our room needed painting. TV reception was iffy, most likely do to location.

I for one would not return to any hotel if there was any doubt. Clean rooms, amazing views and excellent knowledgeable staff. More than ample breakfast, as always, and so easy to get to.
