This will be short - the location was great and an easy walk from the tube. If you like rude staff, who hide the breakfast items from you - call you names and snoop around your room that is at best grubby - then you might be ok with this place. hen we got here another guest stopped us and said 'Dont be afraid of the rooms' - this was a sign of what was to come. We got up the first 4 flights of stairs, only to be greeted by the smallest, tightest most dangerous staircase in London, this lead to the top floor. Our room as so outdated and so grubby/dirty. The bathroom is so small and is like a plastic box - like a bathroom in a ferry cabin (but the ferry would be about the same age as the Titanic) The room is stuffy and we didn't expect air con due to this being London but after a warm day it was stifling in there. When we returned at the end of our firs day, our bags had been moved (our bags were on the wrong beds)- this wasn't for cleaning as nothing was cleaned, beds were still unmade, bin not changed etc - just our bags moved and mine was unzipped half way. We went to breakfast ay 8.45 - to grab some coffee and toast (breakfast finishes at 9) and the man was so annoyed that we had the gaul to show up 15 mins before the end of breakfast. He took away the toaster and bread and said if we want breakfast we need to get up earlier. He then went on a rant about how busy the place was, that he could get twice the price for our room as is was London marathon weekend - and then went into a very personal rant about how as 2 older omen (both in our 40s) we needed to stay active so the stairs were good for us - in particular me as i was 'FAT'. I wouldnt even stay in this hovel again if you paid me twice!

Staff behaviour Place is bit congested
-
Great location Breakfast options were quite limited, and the bathroom was very old and not pleasant
-
Decent breakfast, not a lot of choices. Good location, near bus stops. 10 minutes walk from Russell Square Underground, decent restos Bathroom (if you could call it that!) perfect size if one is 1.5 meters tall! Below ground level room stuffy, smelled of mould.

Wifi doesn’t work. Bit smelly,
-
It was a good location, and the sheets were clean but not the room The rooms in the basement smell very badly
-
The only good things, Great location and a costa across the road!…no other words for the property except for very dirty..in serious need of a deep clean and update! Couldn’t bring ourselves to use the shower, it was just like a caravan bathroom as it was plastic walls etc.Room was cold, curtains disgusting, tv as small as a pc monitor and bedding had cigarette burns! Spent more money going to Costa across the road, which was a god send as we didn’t want to eat there or use the kettle due to the dirt everywhere.literally slept there and stayed out! The door didn’t lock on the inside so if someone has a key card they would’ve got in! Would NOT recommend

Good normal room good for short stay
-
Only the location The rooms can be a bit cleaner, the bedsheets must be replaced and the bed itself should be replaced, the rooms need some heating and need to be sund proof atleast one bit. The breakfast should have more options and the reception needs to be more polite and understandable.

Nothing Nothing

Terrible room a note advising you not to leave valuables in the room but it reception. The en suite is a plastic moulded toilet shower from a caravan in a wardrobe

Do not go to this hotel, the staff are rude, the rooms are disgusting, mould, dust, bathroom dirty, everything was dirty. Everything, my husband ending up having a server allergic reaction to the dust/mould in the room and was blue lighted to the hospital.

Nothing We don't get the hotel or room we had booked and paid for. The hotel we stayed In was next door the the one we had booked. And on the website the hotel We had booked was more expensive than the hotel and room we actually got. We weren't the only people staying there who had the same problem The staff weren't very friendly and were so loud talking at the top of their voices so early in the morning waking us up. Breakfast was an absolute joke. We knew it wasn't going to be a luxury stay but this was really basic The photos are where we booked to stay and then the hotel we stayed in when we arrived. There was a note on our hotel door to stay please go next door to reception.
