Beautifully decorated, helpful staff and awesome location! Everything was perfect!

The hotel was lovely and in a nice location. Staff were nice. The room was clean that’s always a (10) in my book, as was the bathroom (very small though.) So lay off the scones if you want to use the sink. ;) Well the room we stayed in had a droning sound when you put your ear to the pillow and a high frequency buzz that also was present constantly! “Couldn’t find the frequency noise source anywhere!” (Was not the air con.) So little sleep for us that night. The reception staff would have changed the room but as it was in the night and a short stay we didn’t say until check out. BUT!! The worst thing by a county mile, is that the TV was not even HD! I still don’t understand why some 4 star hotels do this? We have 4-8K now, at least have an HD television. For the price of the room being upwards of £300 a night and not have, is kind of shocking!

Gorgeous hotel, comfortable room, nice room temperature and warm water in the shower. The hotel bar was terrific, inviting with friendly staff. Excellent location close to the castle. Felt safe wherever we walked.

Great hotel with great location. Housekeeping was terrific. Lobby interior is gorgeous and rooms are well-appointed. We were kept stocked with coffee, water and chocolate(: Our shower door did not have perfect seal so water ended up on the floor during showers. Not a huge deal.

Good historic location A bit odd of an ambiance. Breakfast was extremely expensive for what it was and so was the entire hotel. They barely managed to give water for free.

I did not stay in hotel as the rooms we had had maintenance problems. They did relocate us in hotel across road and provided a meal and breakfast. This was fine but did attend a meeting at hotel which was lovely and wished we had have stayed there. All good though. What i did see i had no dislikes.
