There was covered parking which we didn't use due to having Uber. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They were able to check us in early which was super nice cuz we are traveling with 2 young kids. We did call ahead and ask first. The room was as clean as it could be considering it's under ongoing renovations. It's not in the best neighborhood. So fyi we didn't go many places... So take it with a grain of salt

I’m baffled by the glowing reviews of this hotel. It is close to Union Station and the sheets were clean. Beyond that, it was depressing, out-dated and my view was of the LA County Jail.

Because this is an older property, each room includes a larger size bathtub. If you love a bath this is an important feature US hotels don't carry anymore as standard. Cleanliness levels good. Having the private parking lot in the building was so helpful and I was able to enjoy the walk ability of downtown. Staff is friendly.

We felt secure in this establishment, especially how safe the vehicle was in a locked garage. The staff was very friendly, and was not lacking anything in the room.

Location is excellent, close to Union Station. Staff are friendly and helpful. We even got daily bed making and room cleanup - unusual nowadays at any hotel!

Very easy walk from Union Station and plenty of food places walkable.

Nowhere to sit in lobby area if you’re down there waiting for a ride or waiting for your check in time. Surrounding area feels sketchy after dark (for a solo female traveler at least). But it’s about as close as you can get to Olvera and conveniently located for the metro.
