Clean room. Not great storage. Safe didn’t work.

Well maintained, clean hotel. But, the customer service is so poor, you can much better with similar priced options in Hollywood. I got to the hotel at 12p, understood I had to wait to get my room. But as the front desk promised I was never notified when it was ready. They have good amenities…food credit, tickets to Chinese theater, good rooftop pool, but you don’t get to use any of these until you are officially checked-in. Bad. Oh and I got a room with a view? My view was of the other side of the hotel, which they called the “atrium.” Just say no.

Our room. The manager on duty was absolutely no help!! Acknowledging that this was a terrible experience and that it should have never happened but offer no assistance while it was happening. Extremely disappointed and definitely going to tell all that will listen do not stay here!!!!

It was central to places we were going had an amazing rooftop pool and spacious rooms. Great wine and cheese every evening from 5-6pm Bar closed during the day.

From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The hotel was beautiful, extremely clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful, which made the entire experience even better. The room was spotless and comfortable, and I really appreciated the attention to detail throughout the property. The location was also very convenient and made it easy to enjoy everything in the area. What stood out the most was the overall atmosphere and level of service—I felt comfortable and well taken care of during my entire stay. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had! ❤️

When we checked into our room, one of the lamps was literally broken into two pieces. We reported/noticed it at check-in, but it was never addressed during our entire stay. The shower water pressure was also terrible. I initially wondered whether this was just a local issue, but after checking with people who live in the area, I was told that they don't experience anything similar in their residences. The most frustrating experience was at the rooftop, which is the hotel's official breakfast area (breakfast is not complimentary—you pay separately). I ordered a coffee and a piece of cake and waited 40 minutes. I reminded the bartender twice, but the cake never arrived. At least they ultimately didn't charge me for the coffee. Overall, the condition of the hotel and the level of service simply don't match the price. There are much better hotel options in the area for the same amount of money.

The main issue we had was with breakfast. If purchasing a room with breakfast included beware that this is only a continental breakfast (granola, yogurt, fruit) and nothing more. Basics such as tea, coffee or orange juice were not included and are an additional cost. This was not well advertised and, frankly, was very disappointing. I have never stayed at a hotel where tea and juice were not included in the cost of breakfast. This was such a major issue for us we wouldn’t stay here again for that reason.

Awesome stay from the very beginning. Friendly Valet and Jenay at the front desk were great. Checked us in right away to the room we purchased. Great views. Great small rooftop pool but not too small. Great food at pool. Bar List awesome views of Hollywood and great Bartendars. Jordan was awesome. Wine hour from 5 to 6. Awesome place to stay visiting Hollywood and the Hollywood Bowl.

We were traveling as a family and specifically booked separate beds, so this was not an upgrade at all. When we explained that we weren’t happy with the room, they offered us a few $15 discount cards as compensation. When we still said the situation was unacceptable, they canceled our stay altogether. The front desk staff were rude, unhelpful, and seemed completely incapable of handling the situation. We also saw several other guests arguing with the front desk while we were there, which made it clear that we were not the only ones having problems. Would not recommend this hotel.

We loved EVERYTHING about this property: Decor, location, pool, bars, room, staff - the best we’ve stay we have had in Hollywood.

I would recommend the Hollywood Grande with one caveat: if you are staying there on a Friday or Saturday night, be aware there is a nightclub on the roof, and it is open until 2AM. If you are on a lower level floor (3 and below,) you may not be bothered by the noise. However, depending on the location of your room, you may experience sleeplessness. I had to request to be moved from the 4th floor after my Friday night stay because I was staying 3 more nights, and I only got about 3 hours of sleep Friday night due to the noise from the nightclub. Initially, guest services told me that they couldn't guarantee that I would be moved. I went to the front desk and received help from Jahnee in moving my room to the 3rd floor and away from the noise. Otherwise, the stay was good. The hotel has a great location on Wilcox between Hollywood and Sunset and is only about 10 minutes from the Hollywood Bowl. The rest of the staff was very polite and helpful. The food and the service in the rooftop restaurant were good. There are also other restaurants in the area. The hotel gave us a food and beverage credit of $17.50 each day. The rooms were clean and functional. Some have balconies which are small but nice. There is no microwave, and the refrigerator is full of drinks for purchase.

Comfortable room and nice pool. The staff has zero hospitality skills. No friendliness. Everything they do for you seems like a chore. No eye contact or smiles or basic human to human skills.
