Spacious room and balcony was sweet. Staff helpful My room smelled like cigarettes (which I asked to change and they did immediately) My new room was just old and basic. Bed was large but hard though that's what you get in SEA a lot.

The bathroom was disgusting with mold and dead insects all over. No towel bars so towels had to be hung in the bedroom. There is a lot of road noise from bikes throughout the night. Lots of ants everywhere.

I really can't understand how this hotel has such high scores and positive reviews. The place is messy,old,not well maintained. Ok it is an old fashion hotel,and this doesn't matter at all,actually it can be a plus most the time,but in this case not. This old fashion hotel needs a deep clean from 'head to toe'. A good clean from the reception area through the bedroom till the bathrooms. Doesn't feel comfy at all being in there. First time I leave such a bad review in booking.com,but this time 'I had to'. The main reason also why I'm so harsh with my review it is for the price,I'm pretty sure you can get better stays in Luang Prabang for the same money. If the hotel was cheaper I could understand better the careless of this place.

Çdo gjë në hotel ishte perfekte. Stafi shumë miqësor, dhoma komode, ajër i kondicionuar i ftohtë. Mëngjesi i shijshëm, vendndodhja ishte në distancë të shkurtër në këmbë nga lumi dhe tregu i natës.

The location was very good. Except for one staff that was nice, the other were barely smiling and not very helpful with everything we needed. We got scammed by the driver the hotel booked for us and the staff didn’t do anything to help us.

Good location, friendly and accommodating staff. The air conditioning wasn’t great and leaked the final night. The fridge was either too warm or froze everything. There was no sign to tell staff not to clean, but in any event the first day they didn’t come anyway and no water / toilet roll was left. Mosquitoes got in due to gaps under the door, in the extractor fan and the windows. The room smelt of smoke in the morning due to nearby cooking. The WiFi wasn’t great.

•Location was good, a lot of things in walking distance •Room was clean, only issue we had was the bathroom. The drain for the shower was blocked and so the bathroom floor would flood, getting the wood cupboard wet which explained the slight damp smell, was manageable though as it didn’t effect the rest of the room •nice big wardrobe in the room for storage •staff were helpful and lovely
