Nothing. . We had booked two rooms for three nights. When we got to the hotel, we were told they could only offer us our rooms for the first night due to maintenance issue! They did not bother to notify us before we got to Lucknow. I'm convinced that this was not the case. There was a wedding function going on at the hotel and they must have over booked. We were offered their sister hotel which we were told was a good hotel. In fact this sister hotel was awful. This was late evening and difficult to get another hotel due to WC cricket match the following day. Later we met two cricket fans at a nearby restaurant who had booked Hotel SS Grand and did not get their room and were booked into the same sister hotel. The sister hotel was Hotel the Golf. It is in the middle of nowhere. No bars, restaurants or shops nearby. The bedding was dirty. Towels were either stained or torn. I would not give it 1 star.
