The guys in hotel are very kind. They helped us when it needed. If we ask, room was cleaned. About the island: Maafushi is a development area, lots of new hotels are being built now. Everywhere are constructions, noise associated with it. Maafushi View is one of the oldest hotel in Maafushi, so don't expect a modern, well-equipped accomodation, rather a charming, rustic, Indian cottage. There are good bed, very simple, but usable bathroom, little refrigerator, that's all and it is enough for a good holiday. Shop - 5 meters from the hotel. Restaurant 50 meters. Hospital 100 meters. ATM 100 meters (don't use it, use USD cash) This hotel is not for snob people with great expectations! It is grandma's cottage in a in a dusty street with friendly garden! Don't come here, if you can't adapt to it! Some of the rooms there aren't window, but has garden access. Some noises during daytime. Bikini beach relatively far from the hotel (6-8 minutes walk)

The Staff was good, tried to incorrect our needs unfortunately the place is horrible The rooms are way below average... There is strong odour in the rooms...it is a GUESTHOUSE. The BATHROOMS is a nightmare In the same price u get the best hotels like ARENA and KAANI, The food is way below basic and u get very limited choices to choose from. The location is not that good as the beach to chill is on the opposite side. Overall the most horrible experience and stay. Please don't waste ur money on this

I am writing to express my concerns regarding our recent experience at Maafushi View Hotel. Upon arrival, we encountered several severe issues that made the accommodation uninhabitable, including a bed bug infestation, mold, and significant structural neglect, such as cracked walls, peeling paint, and a pervasive unpleasant odor. These conditions posed serious health risks, and as a result, we left the hotel immediately without staying a single night. We promptly reported the issues to the you and were initially assured that a full refund would be processed. As you have already received the full payment for our booking, we kindly request a refund of $534 This amount includes both the accommodation and food charges. We ask that $500 be transferred to our account promptly. The conditions at Maafushi View Hotel were grossly misrepresented, and under consumer protection laws, services provided must meet the agreed standards. Booking.com’s terms also support that if an accommodation is uninhabitable or inconsistent with the reservation, guests are entitled to a full refund. Given these circumstances, we trust you will take immediate action to address our request. If this matter is not resolved promptly, we will be forced to escalate the issue to the relevant consumer protection authorities and may consider initiating a chargeback through our credit card provider. We had a full board package. The food was good. We enjoyed the pasta, the grid fish and the fried rice & noodles. Need to make an order two hours before food, then they prepare it with what is available in the market for the day. Girll fish may not be a available every day. The facilities were a bit basic. The water stopped for half day on our arrival, and the dining area was popular with mosquitos. The shef was nice to us. The staffs were nice, a bit less than warm.

Guy that was cooking was very pleasant and nice. One of the cheapst options on the island. Rooms were decent for the price and comfortable. Nothing fancy and bit outdated, but ofcourse that was expected. Half of the place was getting demolished. I arrived and rooms behind the wall were standing and when departing, totally gone. Constant banging, even in middle of the night and they started early each day except for Friday. I understand that the whole island is getting construction work, but this was right by my window and owned by hotel. Banging was sooo loud as walls/roofs were being totally knocked down. No apologies from staff when I mentioned it. It was a nightmare and not a relaxing vacation. I should of been warned or at least asked for understanding and any kind of apology for inconvenience of not sleeping.

The staff was nice and the location. The room was not clean, there were hairs in the bed linen and insects in the toilet.
