Great hotel with wonderful staff, location, and WiFi. Rooms are a little tight and no option for bigger rooms

The staff were precious - all excellent, specially Pedro - very attentive to his guests. Breakfast was good, specially the options for Coco Verde, Acai, Tapioca and fruits. Good location. For my experience Mercure is far from a 4 stars Hotel, I would say 3 stars maximum. The hotel need a good refurbishment. Windows not cleaned well. Pillow are very hard and low. Towells also hard. Bathroom was cleaned but I guess because of the age the appearance is not cleaned enough - there were a lot of tiny roaches in the bathroom. The hallways and the reception had a strong sewage smell.

The location is walking distance from the beach. Very good breakfast It needs a renovation, badly. Doesn't look like all other Mercure Hotels I stayed in the world. The room and bathroom need renovation. The hall of my floor had dirty and scratched walls. The staffs uniform looked worn out and the service at the restaurant was just not too bad.

The hotel was ok and well located in front of the beach. Breakfast well served (and by a very nice and welcoming staff as well) (paid separately in our case as we booked without), staff was super friendly, nice and even helped us think when we would need to leave to get in time to the airport considering traffic in Maceio. There was a parking lot at the place (paid separately but the option to have was good). The facilities were not very good. All seemed super old and not well taken care of. Wifi was not working for us at the room and they put us in charge with their global support and they knew already it was a problem with apple devices...i had to stay in the phone for a while to setup "individually" for all our apple devices (come on, if you know it is a common problem, maybe try setting up the wifi in a different way?!). The doors of the room were EXTREMELY loud, so i got awaken several times with people arriving in the middle of the night. TV was all blocked so we could only watch in portuguese as the caps was off (which for an international hotel, should be really thought better).

location is great and the staff was helpful - reception was under renovation, so it was messy. - the rooms aren’t as good as I expected and really small. - the air conditioner in my room broke down twice. - breakfast could be better.

Very good location, friendly staff. It's everything quite small, specially the swimming pool on the roof top, whose pictures are quite misleading. The air-conditioning wasn't working properly. The cleaning was a bit bellow the expectations as well. There were a couple of nights that they forgot to put a sheet on the bed.
