Tambaqui Praia Hotel

Location Very noisy. People talking loudly in hallways at night. Went for breakfast and they had no knives in restaurant.

The staff. The best quality of the hotel is the service and the staff. Towels were the worse thing. Rough, thin, small and old towels, not very well washed, not soft, a little bit dark and stained. The hotel definitely needs to change all its towels to new and better ones. The breakfast is also messy and the food gets old and cold after a while.

A well located hotel with modestly sized rooms that is reasonably priced, with friendly staff providing a reliable service most of the time. Our bedrooms was well air conditioned and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has standard rooms (very small) and superior rooms (small). Sound insulation is poor, especially from corridor noise. As there is major construction work beginning across the road and in front of the hotel (August 2023) so rooms at the rear of the hotel that face the sea are recommended. The hotel has rooms up to the seventh floor, as the eight floor has the dining room and a (very small) splash pool. The bedroom main lighting and corridor lighting both failed on the second night. The bedroom lighting was fixed within half an hour, but the corridor lighting was still not working two days later. Housekeeping forgot to clean our room on the second day. Bathrooms do not have electrical air extraction. Bathrooom windows in all rooms are fixed open and face into the hotel's corridors, resulting in a lot of noise transmission. Highlights of breakfast are fresh orange juice, a reasonable (but not great) selection of fruit and cooked to order omelette and tapioca wraps with various fillings. Otherwise the bread, cake and pastries are not great, especially the pao de queijo (cheese bread) that is practically tasteless (the hotel should find a new supplier!). There is a very limited amount of car parking space under the hotel.

Breakfast Bad cleaning : the beds and pillow cases were dirty . The first room they gave us Hadn’t been cleaned . The sheets were dirty . In the second room they gave us , the floor was dirty . We would expect at least a warm apology about it . The young black guy at reception was helpful .

The location is great, close to the beach and all the agitation. The staff was amazing, responsive to everything we needed and super nice. The view from the rooftop was nice. The rooms are a bit small and the weird location of the bathroom window … to the hallway, made the air circulation difficult and there was always a bad smell when we returned. The air conditioning worked super well so it was solved quickly but still unpleasant.

The reception desk was professional and kind. The breakfast was in a pretty location and with good options My room has a little window and from there I see only walls and the air conditioning of the other room

The neighborhood is great; despite being small, the room is very functional; breakfast is good. The rooms are not soundproof, and you can hear other guests talking; during rush áreas it might take a while to take the elevator.
