Beautiful setting.

Very small room, definitely can feel how old the building and room is. The bathroom was tiny. The shower was terrible, awful water pressure. I was really disappointed for paying $600 a night it felt like a super cheap hotel

Great location!! Hotel is older/ needs renovations. Too many stairs! But staff is great!! Plus super location!!

The staff was super helpful.

Room was clean but beware that 4th floor rooms have no elevator and dormer rooms have a sloping ceiling and not much space. Cute rooms and terrific soap/shampoo/lotion. Lobby is well decorated but no coffee or water service and hard to find busy staff. Coffee in room is good but only dry stir ins. Only 4 hangers for very tight hanging space but room in dresser and night stands to put away things. We used the space under coffee table for one suitcase. Nice to have a small sofa for sitting and not just bed. Bed was comfortable but jiggled a lot every time one of us turned over. Chairs on grass and porch are so nice and grounds are beautiful. ICE house restaurant in back is good with very nice staff and lovely patio for outside dining. Next time I would stay at one of the boutique hotels instead.

Room and bath were small but very nice. Shower looked brand new. Nice outdoor area with fire pit made for a lovely evening.

We loved our room in the dormer/top floor. It had a fantastic view from the dining table. We enjoyed drinks on the front porch with our friends and had a spectacular dining experience last night. The only thing that we were disappointed with was that we thought they would have had better linens & towels for the price of the room.

Neat historic building with all the nuances of the Mackinac vibe.
-
Clean nice and close to shops

The grill and pool behind the hotel were tranquil. A getaway from the busy downtown area. The room was very clean and quiet at night. I would recommend to friends and family.

Just a beautiful location and place to stay.

I know this may not be a popular opinion but, the island house was far superior to another Grander Hotel by far. The porch was so private and the view of the harbor spectacular! The restaurant at the hotel was top notch. Excellent food and service. Finally, the location was amazing. A short, easy flat walk to town made it the perfect stay. Highly recommend!

From check-in to check-out, the Island House was amazing. We stayed in a room with a view (rm 300). The room was big, bright & beautiful. The staff was always extremely kind & ready to help in any way. We loved the location to town. This was our 2nd vacation on the island & it was magical.

Family friendly place to stay on the Island. The front porch was a great place to watch the water and people go by.

It was a delightful spot.

The property is in a perfect location, just outside of downtown and has a beautiful view of harbour. Property is immaculate with lots of chairs and fire pits to enjoy the evening view. Restaurant 1832 was our favourite of the trip. Wife had the best short ribs of her life!

All in all a great place to stay

Beautiful spot with the most helpful check in staff. Bikes to rent right at hotel. Fabulous stay
