The elevator is an antique, quite beautiful. Location is the best, right in the center of Madrid, 1/2 block from the subway. I enjoyed everything about it.

Excellent location, right next to the main square with the famous bear statue. I think it is called Plaza Mayor (although I could be mistaken). We had a little bit of trouble locating the place because it is on the second floor of a building. So, make sure to look up when looking for the hostal sign.

You can’t beat the location, communications were prompt, the staff were all very nice, the entire facilities were clean, the place was quiet and the beds were comfortable. The only drawback is that the rooms are quite small but, when you’re in Madrid, you’re typically not spending much time in your room, or you shouldn’t! Nothing really, but I’m not really in need of large rooms.

The Location is just perfect, we didn't even used public transport, everything was walkable in the middle of Sol. The rooms have such a nice vintage vibe, it is an experience itself to walk in a old building like this and to admire the architecture. The lightning in the rooms is great, one of very rare accommodations that has this, especially when you need to do makeup, and the room and bathroom were super clean!

Super hostel. Fantastic location less than 5 minutes to metro station (Sol), many restaurants nearby. The owner Mr. Peter was very kind. He lent us transportation card to explore Madrid. If you need kettle, just ask. Room was clean and big enough for 2 people. We also love the elevator. Highly recommended and we will stay again if we visit Madrid Nothing.

Elevator did always work. Lot of long hair everywhere(not mine)! Forever to get hot water.

The room was basic, no frills, but pleasant and consistent with the Art Novueau style of the building and the street. Very friendly staff.
