Very central location on Gran Vía with easy access to major attractions in Madrid, but the overall experience was average and I would probably not stay here again. Stay was uncomfortable & felt more like living in someone’s home as the family was always around, so I would not choose to stay here again.

Location is amazing, central and walking distance to everywhere. Room is small but has all one needs. It is very practical. Everything is very clean, quite new and well maintained. Staff is very nice and helpful. Special thanks to the lady who cleans the room - besides perfect cleanleness of the room, she hanged my shirt nicely to dry well. That was really an extra effort that was not expected and that shows genuine care about the job you do and genuine intention to make someone's stay and experience nice. This kind of human connection and care is what actually matters. Other staff was also very nice and helpful - night receptionist, receptionists.. The building is historical - amazing architecture and very well maintained. Interior is very nice, there are 3 new elevators.

The location of the Hostal was perfect! On Grand Via, in a lovely section. I walked everywhere!

The best Thing about the hotel is its location and the receptionist. She is very supportive and informative It's a bit expensive compared to the size of the room

Excellent position in Madrid. Metro and bus stops nearby. Lots of storage space and personal safe for valuables. Smart little enclosed terrace with lots of tropical type plants. Lucky there was a lift as it’s on the sixth floor. Temporary air conditioner was provided and worked a treat as the room one had failed.

It was not city view as confirmed. No sound isolation at all between the rooms, you can hear literally everything what is happening next to you. Contactless payment does not work, insert your card to avoid some stressful minutes.
