Great location for a mid way ‘road trip’ between home in the UK and Southern Spain. The bedroom and bathroom (our picture was a panoramic so really it doesn’t do it justice) were magnificent. The welcome was outstanding. It was such a pity we were ‘en route’ and couldn’t stay longer. Nothing.

Food was excellent but ambiance in restaurant frenetic as staff (trainees ??) made life so busy difficult to appreciate good food .

This is an excellent Hotel with very high standards. We liked the facilities, the very fine breakfast and the restaurant. It is worth a visit. I strongly recommend it. Not close to the beach but it is only14 minutes away from Soustons by car, where you can easily rent a bike and reach the beaches with a wonderful ride through the many surrounding woods.

The location was good as we were travelling up to Calais from Spain; the hotel was very clean and the food at the Auberge restaurant was good although the atmosphere was stuffy. The staff we met were very friendly.. We booked a superior room and the room we got was standard and very dated with a dark brown bathroom suite and no proper shower. At 190 Euros a night we expected more than this, plus when I questioned the receptionist on this she said a standard room was the same as a superior room! why call them different things if they are the same. Also no alternative was offered even though we would have paid to upgrade. After driving for 5 hours we couldn't be bothered to argue.

Of course the diner was excellent. The complete stay was a joy and we were able to work very efficiently. It was easy to park the car and no problem to get a bill on the company name Only one point of remark: the wifi requires login everytime after you turned of your laptop or handset (no autoconnect). And the wifi does not cover the garden completly but that has perhaps to do with the size of the garden:-)
