Mercure Makassar Nexa Pettarani

I recently stayed at Mercure Makassar Nexa Pettarani and had a very pleasant experience. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with the staff welcoming and ready to assist. The team throughout the hotel was consistently helpful and attentive, making the stay feel comfortable. The room was clean, well-kept, and provided everything needed for a restful night. The facilities were also complete, from the late-night instant noodle booth to the fitness center, making it convenient to stay in. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and I would happily return. On the downside, one noticeable inconvenience was the lack of an in-room water dispenser. Having to go out and refill a water jug felt impractical, especially for guests staying longer. Providing a small dispenser or at least easier access to drinking water would make a meaningful improvement. Amenities were also often prepared only for one guest, even though the room was meant for two, which required additional requests. Lastly, the corridor had an unpleasant smell at certain times, suggesting that better ventilation or regular scent maintenance could help ensure a more consistently pleasant atmosphere throughout the hotel.

A comfortable, attractive hotel with attentive, positive staff. Breakfast was great. Tasty and good variety Nothing but be aware that tropical conditions are hard on buildings so there is some wear in places. Nothing that impacted the enjoyment of my stay. Also note 5hat Makassar is a busy, noisy city. The Mercure can't avoid that!

Modern property with spacious rooms. rooms are comfortable. bathrooms are a bit small. Rooms not well soundproofed. You can hear the guests staying above your room or the street's noises.

Great hotel design and rooms layout, probably one of the nicer hotels in Makassar based on visit so far. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options for local and international food too. The staff was polite and professional. There was a lot of mold in the corridors which made going in and out of the room an unpleasant experience. The corridor stank of mold and made us cough. The floor of the room had a lot of hair and dust, like it was not cleaned properly. The bidet fitting was grimy and rusty. Upon check in, there was insufficient toiletries nor were there bath towels, which we had to request.

staff and location interior was a bit outdated, bed sheets were very dirty on our first night we had to complain to get it changed, furniture seemed old and fragile, Wi-Fi was on and off all the time.

The convenience based on the purpose of our visit. Our bedding was filthy! The sheets and duvet cover had clearly been slept in many times before. it was very upsetting. I was also bitten all over my ankles by bed bugs. We asked for the bed sheets to be changed, but the duvet cover was not changed. We had travelled over 17 hours for this stay - extremely dissatisfied.

Junior Suite - this Mercure property has all the hallmarks you would expect from this hotel chain - the room was exceptionally well appointed (more akin 5-star - with all complimentary benefits) - large/clean/modern - the hotel has excellent room service food, an above average breakfast, a pool & gym - but the real plus of this hotel is the staff (all the staff !!) - we genuinely felt they had the guests best interests at heart (and not just for a good rating !!) - we very rarely name names but the two managers Ari and Joko were by far the best we have encountered in Indonesia nothing - 10/10

Almost none. Trying hard to think in order to find one, but I can't. Everything was perfect.
