Hotel Tugu Malang

Everything was beyond my expectations. Love the ambience. Staffs ALL was so helpful and friendly. Like nothing I experienced at other hotels The stairs as I have reduced mobility

Smíšené pocity. Hotel má světlé stránky. Pohodlná postel, bazén, opravdu bohaté snídaně, které ale nevyužijete, pokud máte noční vyzvednutí k sopce Bromo a hotel odmítl možnost posunout snídani na cca 12-13 hod po návratu ze sopky. Snídaňový balíček byl velmi slabá náhrada. Velké také zklamání z pokoje. Opravdu malý pokoj. Největší zklamání byl "balkón", který je pro mne vždy velmi důležitý. "Balkon" má hloubku asi 25 cm, bez posezení. Navíc byl i velmi špinavý. Také jedna moje večeře v hotelové restauraci byla nejméně dobrá z celé třítýdenní cesty Indonésií. Hovězí rendang byl kus suchého vláknitého hovězího, bez omáčky, vyvařeného, jen suchá vláknitá hmota bez chuti... brrr...

My mom and aunt had a wonderful stay. The location was great, and the staff were very responsive whenever I messaged them with questions or requests. They provided excellent service and made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended! Nothing

Location A bit damp and noisy in the first floor, very difficult to find the switches with no heads-up

We had a really nice stay at this hotel. A special mention to the staff, both at the reception and the restaurant, who were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. They truly made the experience much better for us. The hotel area was also very pleasant and relaxing. Overall, a great experience thanks to the amazing service and atmosphere.

Always excellent breakfast. Useful and enjoyable coffee time in late afternoon. Daily room-served fruits could be diversified (this service was way better some 10 years ago).

Beautiful property and lovely staff. Great restaurant. It seems like sometimes the hotel is trying too much: - There’s an eclectic mix of elaborare dining rooms, pan-Asian cultural styles and antiques. Don’t get me wrong, the hotel is like a museum, but sometimes it seems too much. - This same philosophy applies to dining as well. While the food is excellent, the menu options are overwhelming and many times duplicated. I’d be better if the menu was simplified and less daunting.

Exceptional staff and property

Very interesting a historical property. Great restaurant and bar. The facilities are well maintained and clean, and the rooms are nice. The bathroom in our room was pretty small, and the shower head was old and didn’t work very well, easy and cheap to replace so I’m disappointed that this was an issue with a nice hotel. Also, the bed was very hard.

Breakfast was excellent especially the Indonesian breakfast. Noice from the gym was tooo loud early Friday morning And noise at night coming from somewhere outside, but it stopped at 11 pm

The staff were all very helpful and kind. I enjoyed the food at the restaurant and it was very convenient to have a tasty place to eat onsite. The room was large and comfortable, the pool very nice to sit by, and tea time was awesome. It’s also a convenient walk from several fun areas to explore. Definitely will stay again next time I’m in Malang. All was great!

This hotel has a lots of history which we did not know before we came. It seems an old mansion from a rich Chinese family converted to a hotel. It is amazing to still keep vast spaces and many collections as the old house, like a museum to walk through. This reminds me the Blue Mansion in Penang. Unfortunately, we did not have time to enjoy the exhibition in more details. My recommendation is, to plan more time in this property to appreciate the house itself. The hotel itself is very nice. Service is good. One of restaurants we tried was decorated beautifully, and has lots of local/Asian and interesting options. The hotel sits in the center of Malang. We had a room facing the main road outside. The sound proof is overall good, but we can still hear a bit motorbike sound. It does not bother us much. After all, it is inside a busy town.

Best Hotel in Indonesia easily

Very nice look place. A museum and a hotel combine into one. I really like the hotel and in fact the city Malang as well.

As always a wonderful experience, travelling back in time to old Java. The staff was very welcoming, king and efficient. Our room was very nice and spacious. The food at Melati restaurant very good it is still a bit rundown and a bit of attention is needed in certain areas of the hotel...a face lift could really help
