Mold in bathroom, Very modest bottled water supply. So much personel in the restaurant area, yet to get things done was often requiring multiple requests :)

Nice location.

Quiet location. The hotel room was dark without any natural light and therefore felt oppressive. The music piped through speakers into the hallway was quite annoying in the evening.

Everything was great! Thank you Shalimar team! The rooms are quite spacious, beautifully decorated, the bed was really comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and has a great coffee shop nearby for the coffee lovers.

It’s truly a boutique kind of place. It has an authentic atmosphere with a personal touch. The place is a testimony to it’s long history yet very comfortable. It’s located in a beautiful neighborhood that feels like an open air museum. Everything is beautiful here.

Almost everything about this luxury hotel is lovely. From the classic retro kerb appeal as you approach the main entrance to the well-thought-out interior design and architecture throughout. The location in a leafy, quiet residential hood is perfect for my serene stays. I wish I had stayed for a whole week, but alas, only 2 nights. Breakfast is gorgeous, with lovely Javanese ladies and cute lads always at the ready. Wifi was gone from Day 2 onwards. I was told they were working on it, so when I really needed some connection for work, they suggested I used the library. I had the perfect space to myself.

The decoration is nice, the staff is nice, the beds are really comfortable and everything is clean. They also have a nice gym. 1. No early check in or late checkout were allowed, knowing that they weren’t full. 2. The spa experience (massage) was really expensive, for a poor service (one of us got burned on the face, and the ladies were on their phones laughing and running around: very unprofessional). We eventually got half price for this sad experience. 3. We did two really expensive laundries: in the first one a sock was lost. In the second our trousers got stained. (300k IDR for an average laundry each time) 4. The food was okay, even though the price was steep (you don’t get your money’s worth). The Parmesan was not good to be served. 5. One very annoying thing about this place: the lobby has an infinite loop of two songs playing forever haunting you. The songs are cut after 30s and then play again. I don’t know how the staff keeps sane. 6. The staff forgot to give us back the deposit. We had to remind them by WhatsApp and got the payment a few days later (thankfully).

The property was located in a quiet area while still being close to the main strip of town either 5 minutes by taxi or 15 minutes walking. The hotel itself has a wonderful relaxing pool area and adequate small gym with basic free weight dumbbells and some cardio equipment. The spa is small but they can also treat you in your room; the massage was one of the best I’ve had. The breakfast choices were plentiful and delicious. The rooms are large, clean and the air conditioning is more than adequate. The Attaches restaurant has many wonderful food options with both an Italian and Indonesian Menu and many choices of wine to choose from. I had no issues to report, it was wonderful.

Beautiful room. Great breakfasts. Helpful staff.

Beautifully appointed, felt very luxurious, quiet and away from traffic. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. Housekeeping did an excellent job. The staff were polite. The speakeasy bar was wonderful (although we found it through google, the staff at check-in didn't elaborate on the Italian restaurant or speak easy which are accessible within the hotel). We used the pool, which was nice. It was a refreshing change from less fancy places we've stayed, but it depends on your levels of expectation as its a 5* but an indonesian 5* Cheap laundry service close by The gym wasn't really a gym, most equipment didn't work.

It is a decent boutique hotel in a quite area while minutes away from the center. Staffs are super helpful. It also provide very good takeaway breakfast for our early tours. The restaurant is also very nice. You can hear some noises at night though not serious. The towers are clean enough but not very new.

We had a wonderful, very comfortable stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful, we arrived late and enjoyed 24hr room service. Food was just great! The massage at the spa was maybe the best I‘ve ever had. From our room you could hear noise from the street, but it wasn’t too bad. Also we would not open the window or look outside, which felt a bit weird.
