Nothing DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE – CONFIRMED BOOKINGS MEAN NOTHING HERE Due to an unavoidable delay, my wife, my 6-year-old daughter, and I decided to halt at Mananthavady. We booked a room for 25-01-2026 through Booking.com, received a confirmed booking, and the property itself confirmed it as well. After driving nearly 2 hours from Muthanga, we were literally 5 minutes away from the property at around 8:00 PM when a call came from the hotel. The person on the line bluntly said, “No rooms available.” Why? Because they sold our CONFIRMED room to a walk-in customer. No apology. No alternative. No concern that a family with a small child was being stranded at night in an unfamiliar place. Just pure arrogance and irresponsibility. This property operates with zero ethics, zero accountability, and zero human values. A “confirmed booking” here is nothing but a joke. They clearly believe online reservations can be casually cancelled if a better offer walks in. This wasn’t just mismanagement—it was reckless, inhumane behavior. At 8 PM, with no rooms available anywhere, they didn’t just inconvenience us—they abandoned us. And let’s be clear: by allowing such properties to stay listed, Booking.com’s credibility takes a serious hit. If hotels can ignore confirmations without consequences, what is the platform even for? This was our first and absolutely last experience with this place. As for “Paddyfield …” — a property name doesn’t hide rotten practices. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being treated like your time, safety, and family don’t matter.

My stay at Paddy Field in Wayanad gave me great satisfaction. The rooms were very neat and clean, and there was a good atmosphere. I must mention the behavior of the staff; everyone was very nice. A perfect place to relax in peace.

The staff were kind in that they let us reduce the length of our stay to allow us to leave early without charge. It was so dirty and run down. Cockroaches in the bathroom. Ants everywhere. Damp on the ceiling. The room was swelteringly hot but we couldn’t open the window as the mosquito screens were almost completely destroyed. The mattress was so hard I wasn’t sure that there was a mattress on the bed initially. Very little food variety available in the restaurant and it is an isolated location.

This is not the right hotel for a family to stay. The staff is neither friendly nor speaks or smiles when customers come to the Hotel. Cleanliness and the buckets were not washed and there was no option of using shower. The walkway we didn't see even a single day someone coming and cleaning. The staff was not bothered when we checked out early, late at night when I reached home I got a call at 1:00 Am from the hotel staff checking if i had any plans to come to the restaurant. as the payment was made in advance they didn't even give me any invoice for the stay. They asked me to collect from booking.com
