The property is lovely. The staff is super nice and helpful. They made sure our stay was safe and fulfilling. There is an open airy courtyard with an orange tree in the middle. A nice break from the bustling Medina., it was quiet as well. The staff also arranged a late night transport to the airport which was super helpful. The air condition worked really well!

we have stayed in Riad Dar Marhaba for 2 days. The location was great. even though it was very close the the main touristic square it was very far from the chaos of main square. You fork from the main routes to silent and little dark streets then you come to the riad. even though it makes you feel little unsecure at first, then you see that there is nothing to be scared of after you get in and get out. Please note that the area and Morocco is generally safe for tourists. The garden in the riad was very peacefull and refreshing. some riads we have noticed, have gardens but their top is closed, but this one is open and we really liked it. it lets enter the fresh air to the riad through this nicely decorated garden. I am from Turkiye and interestingly it reminds me my grandmothers old house. you wake up with the 50-100 birds arguing and singing in the garden early in the morning. our room which was in the second floor have the view of tangerine trees in the garden. the room was clean. not narrow but not so wide. the desk in the room was really helpful to put your staff you carry. The room decor was also nice. My family and I stayed 3 different riads and this is the one we really enjoyed. The staff was also great and helpful. The night guy AbdulRahim was awesome person to talk, Sena and a sweet Lebanese lady was also great and their breakfast was wonderful. Thanks to all them. While you are arriving there with your luggages and with phone with maps open, there are some young locals try to help you to find the place. They really help you, but they ask for tip. And when you tip, they dont like the amount you give. So kindly reject their help in the begining or bargain at first. They try to make money through this task. The google maps shows the exact location, but that location doesnt show you the entrance. it shows you the center of it. And there are 2 different streets near that location. One has the entrance, and the other one doesnt. if you dont see the entrance in one street, try to reach to the other street that is on the other side of the riad. Hope this helps.

The owner was absolutely incredible!! He allowed us to check in late and check out early in the morning for our desert tour. Although we were leaving before breakfast, he prepared us some quick breakfast food to eat on the way! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We wanted to stay for another night when we got back from our tour but unfortunately it was all booked. If you have large checked suitcases it may be difficult to get through the souks. We had rolling carrying ons and it was a little difficult in crowded areas.

Our hosts were amazing, from the airport pickup and drop off, through preparing us early breakfast when we were traveling, every time kind and attentive. The location is in the heart of the old city, close to restaurants and the street markets. Our room was spacious, quiet and comfy. I'd add a clothes hanger and perhaps a small table, to make the room even more comfortable.

Great location and staff! We had to leave early and they offered to serve us breakfast earlier than usual so that we wouldn’t leave without eating. Lovely stay!

The staff were amazing the guy who did all the check in stuff super friendly, amazing hospitality, felt very welcome from the time l walked in to the time l left! Breakfast was fantastic a full massive start to the day, the lady who supported during the daytime super friendly! The Riad atmosphere was super calm chill energy! Highly recommend and absolutely value for money! For me though the hospitality shown was fabulous thank you both ? Loved every thing, the only small thing when you enter the Riad from the main walkway it can seem a bit intimidating especially arriving in the evening, once you do it once though your like a local ?

    Very good

Experiencing life in a very old and peaceful Moroccan house. - The path to the riad (dark and sometimes narrow alleys) could definitely be scary if you are a solo female traveler—especially considering the presence of groups of kids and teenagers who are “trying to help” and keep yelling ‘it’s close, it’s close’! - in winter the room could be very cold. - there is no noises from hectic Medina but you can easily hear people who are talking in their room upstairs or in the courtyard!

It is a very nice place near Jemaa El Fna with a very friendly staff. I would recommend it a lot!

Clean, tidy, friendly hosts, delicious and varied breakfast. 2 min walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa square. All recommendations!

  • Engine customer Feb 2025

Amazing experience. The riad is clean, with a nice rooftop and large bedrooms. The location is perfect, just 5 min walk to the Jemaa el-Fnaa square. There are lots of shops around opened until midnight. The breakfast is really good and well served. Furthermore, all the staff is very friendly. We felt at home staying there. Almost nothing, probably the lack of a mini fridge

Sympathy, good breakfast, calm location near Central plaza.

  • Engine customer Feb 2025

Good location, good communication with riad, friendly staff. Good value for money Poor breakfast and no welcome drink as usually offered at other riads I have stayed in. Room could be a little cleaner

Fabulous place. A small, quiet paradise in the middle of the old Medina. Acient, cozy little gem. The furniture, the small details all give you a special feeling, staying at a wealthy maroccon family's house back in time. The breakfast is amazing, the staff super kind and helpful. They lighted up the beautiful tile stove for us, for the breakfast time. Note, that there is no heating in the rooms, but they provided a small electric radiator, which worked prity well, made the room filled with warmth in the winter time. The bathroom was cold, though, but the hot water made us forgot it. Definitely would come back again.
