Resort Santa Maria

Location is good for kitesurfing. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much wind during our stay. We had only 2 days of wind. The room is small for drying wet kite materials and due to high humidity it takes a very long time to dry them. Our materials were still wet after 3 days and they only dried back at home. Kite school in the hotel is not affiliated with the hotel and operates independently. There’s not much to do when there’s no wind. Luckily we had a rental car and we explored other places in the area. Breakfast is okay but same every day. My girlfriend found the double bed in the room uncomfortable.

Its really close to the beach and is often used for kite sailing - there are a few places around to eat including the restaurant recommended by the hotel and where you eat breakfast, there is a good sized pool and the room is quite big with the option of a mini bar, they also have some tea, coffee, cold drinks and a few snacks available at the reception. Unfortunately due to the weather we didn't get to see much but the views over the water where beautiful. The bed was quite hard and 2 singles pushed together, they made a sound every time we moved. We where told to wear wrist bands to get 15% of the restaurant and they would take it of the bill, but despite them being on display we only noticed afterwards it was not deducted from the total cost. The cost from the airport is 25euros each way due to the location, there didnt seem to be any other way to get there if you where not hiring a car. Its a 10 minute journey.

The location is absolutely fantastic for a kite trip of a week to enjoy the laguna, in which you can walk almost anywhere. Staff was friendly and food was quite good despite the not so diverse menu. The room was comfortable overall and the swimming pool offered a nice break in between kite sessions. We would definitely recommend the location and come again! Beds (single) were a bit short (if you are >180cm your feet will hang...) and the WiFi pretty slow if working at all, so if you plan to telework, make sure you have spare mobile network available... The breakfast was relatively good but a bit pricy (8€). On some nights it was quite noisy too from parties nearby but overall everything was great.

The hotel is only small, very close to kite beach and lessons if you need them. Pool area is good and clean and breakfast was great. Restaurant good at night and not expensive. If you want to explore Sicily get a car, we were kiting but still wanted to do day trips

Very nice Resort directly at the kitespot. Great, clean pool. Delicious Restaurant. Private Parking. Very nice staff. Only minor point: Appartment was clean and functional but basic, which could be a factor if you would stay a lot inside. Anyway, we will come back next year for sure.

Location is very good The rooms are dark as in a cellar, there is no sound insulation and if you have neighbors who do not respect silence - prepare for a sleepless night
