Location is fantastic, it was central with only 4 mins walk from main bus stops. Close to the entrance there are lots of bars for a good aperitivo + nice restaurants and caffee for dinner or breakfast. - The facilities are not cleaned properly. There is mold in the bathroom, with dirty plastic curtains. Additionally, there was dirt in wardrobe with what looked like pink mold at the bottom, or some other dirt. There was so much dust on the floors and walls, that my dark navy backpack turned grey. It’s not a great place for an allergic person like me. Also, the shared kitchen itself is filthy. We did not dare use it. - The bathroom is old and rusty, with only top shower head attached to a wall. It was not comfortable to take a shower. - Poor soundproofness. I understand that the building is at least 10 times older than me, but you can hear EVERYTHING: the people on the streets, upstair neighbours, neighbours from the same floor/unit, people using the bathroom(everything) with both the door and windows closed. Additionally, the place should be non-smoking, however bathroom often smelled of cigarettes, except the bathroom with a window. Overall, it was ok. I would love to come back to this place if the cleanliness of the place will be improved.

Great location in a beautiful little town. Bus easily accessible, in the middle of bustling plaza at night. Great for solo travellers. Employees are lovely and attentive. The shower is extremely moldy.

Value for money, beds could be comfier and a bit of street noise but not so bad for a hostel.

Room was really cozy and cute. High ceilings, so even on hot days it's pretty cool even without AC. We loved the area (in massa city centre). Also very nice receptionist! The shared bathroom on the left side on 3rd floor didn't have a proper toilet seat so it was really difficult to sit down. However there are two bathrooms each floor so after finding the second one, I didn't have any problems.

The room was spacious, with clean linen. The mattresses were very thin and the beds were squeaking with every move.

Great location, right on VF Clean Comfortable

A bit too noisy at night time, but it's central so, you cant have everything.

A truly well-thought-out place with everything one might need during a stay. Common kitchens, a lot of bathrooms, a living room, and a drying room — everything comes with a nice view! The historic old town is so charming, and the hostel is just a short walk away from the castle. Massa is a great base for mountain trips and beach days. You can easily visit Pisa, Cinque Terre, Florence and much more by train.

It was in the city center and it had a nice view of the piazza. The bathroom was not that clean. It was mold on the shower cabin and the toilet was old and not well clean. Although it wasn’t that cheap, they only offered the towels and if you wanted to take a shower, you had to buy the amenities from the reception.

Brilliant location, beautifully renovated, with a clean and spacious room. Very accommodating and friendly staff. I would certainly recommend. The only downside was that the beds were not as comfortable as we would have liked. If a little money could be invested in new/decent ma ttresses it would make a big difference.
