Boutique hotel. Very close to the tourist center, recommended for a two-day stay, to experience the place and rest in the afternoon.. The room is modernly decorated and very clean. The breakfast was good and the staff was nice.

Close to everything, this hotel was perfect in every way. I arrived early, soaking wet from a storm. The front desk staff let me change and was going to hold my luggage until my room was ready. It turned out it was ready only 30 minutes later. The room was large and perfect. I went up to the rooftop for a drink and some food and the bartender was very social as well. The evening staff was just as lovely as I had many questions about the festa happening and she was patient with all of my questions. I would recommend and will stay here again.

Very well located in the Heart of the old city yet only 200m from a bookable parking. The hotel is great . The room were spacious , comfortable and soundproof . The bed is very good quality. The staff of very helpful.

The front desk bent over backwards to make arrangements for taxis, trains, gave recommendations for restaurants, made sure my phone could charge, sent up a snack when requested. All three people who we met at the desk were helpful and charming. Breakfast was good. Room was big and bed was comfortable. Nothing to complain about

From the minute I stepped through the front door, to my departure in a taxi the hotel ordered for me, my experience was excellent. The reception staff was pleasant, calm, and very informative! The room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and great value for money. The room was beautiful, a little bit of noise outside, but that is because you are in the center of everything - which for me, was ideal. Hotel is well-equipped with modern aspects including a speedy elevator, mini-fridge, safe, key cards, building code for after-hours, and of course, wifi. I was most impressed with the bathroom, which had a huge shower with an above spray nozzle and additional hand-held attachment that had great water pressure and temperature - something that has not been consistent in my stays throughout Italy. To top it all off, there is a beautiful terrace on the top floor where I received a complimentary welcome drink while enjoying the view. The hotel breakfast was suitable to my needs, enough to get the day started without the need to actively look for something to eat elsewhere. The options may have been limited due to the hotel size, but the staff present was super friendly and helpful. I do not have anything negative to say about my short time at Palazzo della Fontana. I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied and highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Matera for sightseeing and exploring!

Very comfortable hotel, well located in the center of Matera, but with a nearby parking for our car. Very nice and helpful staff, especially Paolo, who gave us useful tips, and we appreciated the welcome drink on the rooftop bar.

Perfect family run, beautiful small hotel in center of Matera. Comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, many choices for fresh fruits & baked goods, Eggs made to order! Complimentary ‘ Welcome drink @ the rooftop bar. Very informative & attentive staff, especially Paolo! Lovely visit! All Excellent!
