I enjoyed the prime location of being in the sassi and how quick the location is to get to the sites. Stocked water and coffee in the room was nice.

This place felt like stepping straight into a fairytale. The location is simply unbeatable, perfectly set to capture breathtaking views that make every moment feel magical. Waking up to such scenery is an experience in itself, but what truly elevates the stay is the excellent breakfast—fresh, delicious, and the perfect way to start the day. There’s something undeniably special about being here. The atmosphere, the surroundings, and the charm all come together to create a sense of wonder that’s hard to put into words. And Matera itself only adds to that feeling—it’s a destination that feels like it belongs in a storybook. Altogether, an unforgettable experience that I would highly recommend.

This is a great option in the very heart of old town Matera. Great options for restaurants and sights very closeby. The owner and staff were very accommodating and the room was top-notch and comfortable and clean. Breakfast was substantial served on a pretty patio with a view. Would definitely recommend. Nothing

Emanuele was very accommodating during the check in process and made sure I had everything I needed. Breakfast in the morning on the terrace was lovely, and he was a great host. Location was perfect and accessible by car which was also a plus for taxi services. Would stay here again next time I'm in Matera!

Wonderful location and very helpful & kind hosts who went out of their way to assist us. The terrace area was perfect to enjoy breakfast & also for aperitivo. Spacious room well fitted out with coffee machine & wine glasses. The bathroom pump was unfortunately quite noisy, whenever the water was running or flushing the toilet, but probably can’t do anything about this in an old building

Super property right in the centre of Sassi di Matera. Lovely owners, really helpful and great breakfasts too! Local bus stop right outside, but everything is walkable. Many really good restaurants nearby. Top tip: Do watch the video sent from the owners with directions on how to find the property. It is not obvious to spot from google maps. Nothing to dislike.

Everything was perfect. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, even offered to talk to a train operator in Italian to ask about an ongoing strike. The breakfast was always delicious. The rooms were very clean and had all amenities listed. The location is beautiful.
