Vicolo Fiore Affittacamere is a guesthouse with three rooms located in the historic center of Matera. My room was clean, bright and had good Wi-Fi. The private bathroom is not ensuite, but it is reserved solely for the guests of this particular room, so I didn't find it much of an inconvenience. There is a communal kitchen of sorts with free tea and coffee, a refrigerator and a microwave. I was able to find free parking on the street within two blocks of the guesthouse. I enjoyed my stay and do recommend Vicolo Fiore Affittacamere for a short stay in Matera.

The location is outstanding. It’s just a short walk to one of Matera’s most breathtaking viewpoints, where you can take in the iconic Sassi. You’re also within easy reach of the main square and surrounded by excellent restaurants, so everything is right at your doorstep. A perfect place to experience the unique atmosphere of Matera.

A lovely clean and comfortable apartment perfectly located just 5 minutes walk from the historic centre. Excellent communication from the host with easy check in and good recommendations for parking.

Everything was great. The location was phenomenal. Only quibble was the private bathroom was across the hall. It was a great bathroom and private, but I couldn’t gallivant around in my undies.

We deliberately chose the tiny room (basically a twin bed with a trundle bed underneath that then lifts up to the same height). We were only staying for one night and we figured we didn't need much room. We were pleasantly surprised by how clean and modern the room and its attached bathroom were. The beds were comfortable. The room was well designed with places to store things in spite of its small size. We did a self check-in as we arrived after the reception (in another building) had closed - the instructions were clear and included photos. Breakfast was a coupon to use at a cafe about 5 minutes walk. It was definitely good value for one night in the amazing town of Matera. The reception is a bit of a distance if you have luggage to carry (10 minutes walk). The shared area with a coffee machine and kettle doesn't have a sink or refrigerator.

liked the location — it was inside the ZTL, but we were able to park just outside, so we didn’t get any fines. We loved the little terrace above our room and the overall cleanliness. The staff was knowledgeable and gave us some great pointers on where to go, as well as a city map. The only thing we didn’t like was the size of the room — it felt more like a small closet. The beds were arranged one above the other in a horizontal Murphy bed style, which was actually very clever considering the limited space. I completely understand that with such a small area, there wasn’t much else they could do. The mattresses were comfortable, as were the pillows, and the bathroom was both functional and surprisingly comfortable.

Location is good. Room small, but clean and good breakfast. I stayed in a single room with extra bed, but the problem was the mattress. It was too thin and when we sit on the bed, since there is no other place to sit in the room, your legs get hurt by the wood that frames the mattress. And the same thing happens when you lay down or get up the bed. I think the owner should sit on that bed to experience what I’m saying. The bed should be one of the most important piece in s bed and breakfast.

The only downside was that the room was a bit small and the reception was a few blocks away from the room.

Super clean and close to “Sassi”, only a street away! The bathroom is separated from the room, which I didn’t understand at booking time.

First of all the host was very nice and friendly. The flat itself is basically 1 min walking distance from the main attractions. It was super tidy and well equipped. Couple of things to be taken into consideration, though. The room is located on the second floor and the stairs are quite steep, was not an issue for us with just a couple of bags, but with large suitcases it could be challenging. The room as mentioned is good and you have everything you need there, but it’s just a little small, same applies to the bad, it was comfortable but a bit small. All in all it was okay for the value and I can definitely recommend it.

The location was great! It would be nice if they had a few more remand cups/ glasses in the kitchen . The patio was great but only two tables and four chairs but the B&B holds a minimum 6 people …
