The room's only window opened up into the hallway which was a bit annoying since the light would intermittently turn on and off

The staff was very attentive, pleasant, and helpful. The room isn’t big or fancy, but it had most things I needed: Wi-Fi, hot water, quiet. I would have liked a comforter or a top sheet on the bed. There was just a small, thin sheet and a blanket.

There is a little bit noise and no windows

Hotel is nice and the staff friedly kind and helpful and attentive to your needs. Close to Estadio sports complex. With busy Calle 50 it gets super noisy with heavy traffic early morning and late afternoon

I liked the room and the balcony. I was worried about noise from the street waking me up, byt all in all it didn't bother me. A good stay. There's an army base directly across the street so the street itself caters to military goods and hardware. Not the kind of thing that I find interesting. The other rooms were small and didn't promise much airflow.

Since being in Colombia, I have not had the most pleasant stays at all of my hotels, needing to leave two hotels early because staff were so rude to me that I did not even care about trying to get a refund. The facilities are not perfect at Hotel Street 50, but from the moment I stepped in the door the man working the night shift was so unbelievably nice and welcoming that it changed my feelings of the whole country. Before, I was feeling very unwelcomed by how I was treated at previous hotels: not receiving service, being ignored at receptions with receptionists not even looking at me and serving gest that arrived after me, and getting dirty looks and headshakes and raised eyebrows because my Spanish is quite bad. And the gracious treatment at Hotel Street 50 continued throughout my entire stay. Both day attendants were also extremely gracious and went above and beyond to be sure I did not have any needs. The best part of my stay though was their patience with my Spanish: trying to speak slower, etc so I could understand. If you are looking for a budget friendly hotel in Medellin near the location of Hotel Street 50, I would recommend it wholeheartedly. I was upset I had to leave and miss the staff already. Muchos Gracias todos en Hotel Street 50 Cold showers sometimes, but that has happened at nicer hotels I stayed at also. Also, it was pretty hot so they were welcomed.
