If you're looking for a truly relaxing weekend escape, Port d'Hiver is the place. From the moment we arrived, this hotel exceeded every expectation. The setting is private and peaceful — exactly what we needed. Our room was extremely comfortable, and the ocean/beach view was simply amazing. Waking up to that view alone made the trip worth it. The staff went above and beyond at every turn. At check-in, we were personally escorted to our room and given a full walkthrough — beach amenities, happy hour, breakfast, local restaurant recommendations, things to do nearby — nothing was left out. Friendly, courteous, and genuinely helpful the entire stay. We also have a special dietary need, and the team handled it beautifully — they went out of their way to accommodate us, even leaving a special snack in our room and offering tailored menu options at the restaurant (which were delicious!). Every detail felt thoughtful. This was one of the best hotel experiences we've had, and we'll absolutely be back. Highly recommend Port d'Hiver to anyone wanting a relaxing, well-taken-care-of getaway!

Amazing

The breakfasts were world class, the facilities including the spa and plunge pool were wonderful. The staff were all exceptional. I would rank this property as a 5 star location especially as it is only 200 feet from Melbourne Beach. Was it expensive? Yes, but I have had far poorer experiences in more expensive locations around the world. Try this place for a romantic extended weekend, you will not regret it!

This is like visiting home. There are so many extras that you never knew you wanted. We felt very pampered.

There was nothing not to like about this property.! We received a very warm welcome and was shown around the property and to the room by a member of staff. The hotel provided a snack room which was open 24/7 which included freshly baked homemade cookies. The breakfasts were to die for; freshly baked muffins; fresh fruit; a choice of cooked breakfast; it was really a nice touch. You could also have the breakfast delivered to your room. They even asked what was the best time to refresh your room. The rooms were very comfortable and included L’Occataine toiletries and all in plentiful supply; same with tea and coffee. The hotel offered a very personal touch Nothing!

My 10 day stay at PortD’Hiver B&B was a real pleasure. Great location, great rooms , great breakfasts, great staff, and quite possibly the best cookies I’ve ever had !! 😊 I only wish they had a restaurant on the premises, but there are several within a short walking distance. I’m looking forward to staying there again.

Delicious breakfast and comfortable accommodations. The spa and pool were just what we needed. We were able to walk to multiple restaurants.

What a gem! The rooms are beautiful. The entire property is perfect. Breakfast was beautiful and delicious.

The room did not meet my expectations for the price point. Choose your room wisely.What was advertised as a "soaking tub" was actually a dirty jet spa tub with visible hair in it and I could see grime inside the jets.. yuck!
