Location and staff The room had a bad smell

I needed a place to stay that was close to John Fawkner Hospital, and the Brunswick Tower is a 6-minute walk. It is around the corner from Sydney Road where there are plenty of restaurants and shops. My room was clean and comfortable. I found it to be good value given the room rate which was quite low. It’s an older building and somewhat run down. I had a room at the front for the first time and the trams were rather noisy; in future I will ask for a room at the back for more quiet. It is basic accommodation at a good price, fine for a single night by myself.

Cleanliness of the room

Room lighting and internet is poor

only if you are in the market for some 200 years old hotel experience. the hotel was really old and the floors are dirty (lots of dust), breakfast was not available even it was advertised with it. Will not recommend.

The place was a bit run down. using the jug meant power cables dangling all over the place. I was worried about the hot jug tipping over. The view from our room was of a brick wall, but we didn't mind for one night.

Located near John Falkner Hospital, great for anyone from the country who have a loved one having to go to Hospital. Friendly staff, secure parking and although an older property it is good value for money.

The man at reception was very helpful when we arrived. Parking was very easy, especially for such a busy area. Our room was comfortable and it was handy to have a fridge. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Other guests arrived back very loudly at 1am and sat out on the smoking balcony outside of our room and shouted at each other. We tried to call reception on the room phone, we did not feel safe confronting the other guests as they were talking about the drugs and alcohol they had consumed. No one answered at reception so we just had to wait for them to go to bed. A terrible night sleep.

The room was clean and spacious. The en suite was tiny but adequate. Room was quiet. Value for money. Close to public transport and shops but the area was very run down - lots of graffiti and closed shops. Off street parking. Water pressure was quite good Clean but the room was tired - could have done with a coat of paint. The bed was a bit too firm for our liking and the towels and pillows were thin.
-
No issues.

The location is in the heart of Brunswick, with many different restaurants close. It is also on two tram routes. The hotel is delightfully old-fashioned - you get a proper key to the room, not a card. The room and the bathroom were both spacious. All good!
-
clean, tv worked, air con no soap in bathroom, no glasses provided with which to drink water
-
All was as advertised and all requests eg for a quiet room were met very well Nothing

Great secure parking. Friendly staff. Bed comfy. Room a little older, but good value for money.

Very thing Nothing

The room was very clean and the staff were friendly to deal with. Free parking and a comfortable bed excellent for the price. Property was a little dated but that's to be expected at the price point.
-
The staff were friendly, the location was excellent for us as near our daughter and great proximity to dining options in Brunswick East. The room was spacious and clean, The wi-fi connection was poor - it kept dropping out. Better pillows on the bed would be good. It is noisy near that intersection but not a lot you can do about that apart from wear ear plugs!
-
Floor could have been a bit cleaner under one of the beds there was a empty sugar packet and sugar was left on one of the shelves in the cupboard
-
Property could use a little love and updating.

Room was very clean. Free parking on site. Good location with lots of restaurants nearby. Staff were very friendly. Minor maintenance issues eg bathroom door wouldn't fully shut.
