Host (Jose) and his brother were great. Ceiling fans kept the air moving I wish there was better shade in the garden, but that’s a long term project

Dirty and bedbugs. It looks like they don't do any cleaning after the people left.

Nice sleeping area. 4 beds per cubicle with privacy curtain was nice. Clean bathroom/shower. Fantastic pilgrim breakfast. Probably the best cafe con leche on the whole trip. Very friendly and conversant staff. Not so lovely surrounding scenery. The albergue faces a gravel lot to walk through to get to restaurants etc.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The outside terrace was nice as well. The location was the main thing we didn’t like. It just seemed in a weird area and the neighborhood kids were blasting fireworks at night. Couldn’t sleep because of it. There was also little ventilation for how large the rooms are, and so it stunk and was musty once people got in there.

Altho you didn't ask, this albergue is kid friendly.

It had a lot of nice community space and a café that ran for a couple hours during the day. I couldn’t sleep because for the first time I feared the bed was going to fall on me in the middle of the night. Lol I’m sure it was plenty sturdy, but there was a big guy sleeping above me who tossed and turned all night.

Gross people who were sloppy with wet, smelly gear.

Kind of out of the way on the camino and appears to be abandoned on the outside, BUT extremely nice on the inside. I would stay here again! Great amenities and staff. Great food too--best breakfast we had on the camino! Quiet location.

Great staff Away from town a fair bit

The staff was the best I have encountered and helped with anything we needed. Very friendly and even though the facilities were great, the staff is what made it special. ❤️ (There could be one separate kitchen sink so that we don’t have to ask the staff to wash all our dirty dishes or fill our water bottles) it is not a complaint, is a suggestion.

I was on the bottom bunk and the entire bed shook every time the person above me moved. Felt a bit unstable.

My favorite stay on the Camino! Such kind owners, great food and amazing value for breakfast. Clean and new facilities. Fresh cotton sheets for the beds and very comfy mattress.

The staff here is incredible. They welcomed us late, and offered clean cotton bedding and took a large dinner order close to when the kitchen closes. One of my best sleeps on the entire Camino, I will recommend this place to anyone I know coming through Melide.

Curtains round the bunk beds were nice as were lights near the floor that came on as you walked past. Nice staff and place to eat on the premises. I was a bit cold in bed and there was a lot of noise from other people, though they did quieten down by about 11pm.

The area is so beautiful and clean, I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the hosts were so welcoming and friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was to my liking. I honestly have zero complaints
