I stayed in 3 other hostels that were supposed to be “highly rated” but hostel Juárez was cleaner and more comfortable than those. Also great area in Roma away from the major street, and the staff are very nice and helpful. This is a great hostel if you want somewhere clean and quiet, no hassles.

It’s in a beautiful area of town and for a first timer to MEX, I was comfortable

Friendly reception, decent central and safe location, quiet, nice rooftop, private bunks with fans. Bedroom was a great space and I slept well. Bathrooms weren't conveniently accessible and were very small! I could barely sit down in the toilets...knees hitting the door! There are three shower stalls that all share one changing space.

Great location! Booked this place last minute to get a few hours of rest before my flight and staff was kind enough to let me check-in early! Super friendly, great bed, and shower. Had everything I needed to feel revitalized for my travels.

The only reason I am changing my review from a 10 to a 4 is because of my experience with one of the new volunteers, an older man with long hair who was working at reception. My first interaction with him was unpleasant enough that I deliberately avoided him for the rest of my stay. I simply asked where Jorge was, and his response was unnecessarily aggressive, rude, and confrontational. The interaction left such a negative impression that I chose not to engage with him again unless absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, on my last night, I had no choice but to interact with him a second time. This encounter was even worse than the first. Once again, he displayed the same hostile and disrespectful attitude, confirming that the initial incident was not a misunderstanding or a bad day. I have traveled extensively and stayed in many hotels, Airbnb's, homestays, hostels etc and I can honestly say that this was one of the most unpleasant interactions I have had with someone representing a hospitality business. No guest should feel uncomfortable, intimidated, or mistreated when asking a simple question or using the facilities. What makes this especially disappointing is that I was considering extending my stay for the two nights I have left before my flight home. However, after this second incident, I no longer have any interest in staying longer. Instead of looking forward to the remainder of my time here, I find myself counting the hours until I can check out and no longer have to risk another interaction with this individual. I understand that volunteers often work in exchange for accommodation, but that does not excuse rude or aggressive behavior toward paying guests. The hostel has a responsibility to ensure that the people interacting with customers meet basic standards of professionalism and respect. Hostel Juarez is fortunate to have Skyler and Jorge, the two are kind and welcoming people, which makes this volunteer stand out for all the wrong reasons. Management should pay closer attention to who they allow to represent the hostel, because one person with this type of attitude can significantly damage an otherwise positive guest experience.

Great location, super comfortable beds, secure neighbourhood, lovely, helpful staff, very clean. Shower facilities could do with an upgrade.

I loved my stay at Hostel Juarez. The staff were amazing, warm, helpful, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish (Skye & Jorge are absolute gems!). The entire place was spotless, the hot water was always consistent, and the Wi-Fi was excellent, which made everything easy and comfortable. The location is spectacular too, with so many great cafes and amazing food options nearby. It was the perfect base for exploring the area, and I would happily stay here again. The upstairs lounge needs more fans and a water cooler, that's it!

The rooftop, the bed was comfortable and the reception staff was caring and supportive. The only problem was The girls showers, there was barely any water running compared to the men shower.

The rooms were always clean, peaceful, and comfortable, and the common areas created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere where it was easy to connect with people and feel relaxed. What made this experience especially unforgettable was the amazing reception team — everyone was so kind, friendly, and caring. They didn’t make me feel like just a guest, but like a friend. A special thank you to Jorge, who made my stay even more meaningful with his kindness, positive energy, and genuine hospitality. I felt very welcomed here and I’ll always remember this place with gratitude.
