Pleasant Hill Motel

Good

This is a VERY BASIC motel. The HVAC unit is extremely loud and there is the odor of old cigarette smoke in the room. Opening the windows helped only a little since there are often people smoking outside. There are cigarette burns in the sheets. The price is high considering the quality but still lower than other options in the area.

Exceptional

Not much. The door at least had a dead bolt. And the a/c cooled the room fairly quickly. There was at least a microwave to heat my left overs from lunch. The room smelled horrible- worse, there’s just not a word bad enough for it. It smelled like pot so bad it gave me a terrible headache. The bathroom door was split, the room was hot and that made the smell worse. The parking was terrible too. People parked on both sides and you could barely get between without hitting their cars or mine. Then my receipt said I paid more than what I really did. And I had to ask for the receipt. I picked this place because the reviews said it was clean and a nice place to stay. It WAS NOT!!!! The walls looked like someone had a major fight inside, the bathroom stank - didn’t smell clean and wasn’t worth even the discounted price I paid. The walls behind the bathroom door was peeling off and and looked rotted. The furniture was in almost as bad a shape as the walls- which desperately needed fixed and repainted. I would not recommend staying here unless you’re extremely desperate.

Price and location was great. Initial smell upon entry was of a certain type of smoke even though it was a non smoking room. The a/c was a window type put into a hole in the wall right next to the bed was pretty loud when sleeping.

It was a good place to stay for the night.

Location The A/C unit was obnoxiously loud. The pillows were hard. The room was full of flying bugs. The price was ridiculous for these conditions. I will not ever stay there again.

The room was very clean. Location was quiet even though it was on a highway. The shower was very clean. It was big enough to move around in No breakfast but understand why. The office was in someone's home so couldn't serve breakfast. There was a diner next door.

Ac needs help, takes forever to cool the room, fire alarm needs attention, poor water pressure on sink

I was looking for a simple clean and safe landing at a low price that preferably had a working AC unit and a TV that worked and what I found here was precisely that. For this price point I had room seven and it was very quiet, very safe, my car was right at my front door, the bathroom was perfect, the linens were fine, bed was clean, TV was operating well and I felt the temperature was as it should be with the AC unit... there was also a fridge that worked well and a microwave and sufficient lighting. I picked up coffee at the WaWa 4 miles away for the morning. 'V' at the front desk was very helpful🙏

Location was very convenient. Room was very clean for such an old building. Bed was very comfortable so slept very well. Commode wasn’t secured on one side so it would tilt if not careful.

I liked the day I was able to check out and get away from the smell in that room. However, it is now on my clothes, my luggage and my car. Smelled like mold. Pillows were like a rock. I did not shower for 2 days because of the bathroom cleanliness. Ran out of toilet paper. No one ever took out our trash. Walls and furniture were dirty. Had a hard time sleeping because it felt so dirty.

My husband said it was the most comfortable bed he had slept in at a motel, which is really saying something. We were very pleasantly pleased with the extra bedroom. Parking. It seemed like we were on top of each other.

The location was perfect for me. The bed was comfortable. The room was damp which was worrisome as I have asthma. Definitely an older location.

The room was adequate- no more no less. Pleasant Inn looks like a BnB from the photos but is a roadside motel that accommodates residents. The smell of pot filled the outside air since the rooms were No Smoking. It was clean. It was a bed. The AC was very loud.
