Got ready to checkout. I was told that the room was booked through Expedia and Expedia would provide the receipt. I said I was pay at the hotel. The morning clerk argued with me. I had to make an appointment and left. While still in town, I got a text that Tru by Hilton in Midland charged my credit card and the charge was $20 more than expected. Expedia had not charged it. I checked my booking email. It said pay at hotel. I went back to the desk clerk and asked for a receipt. She argued again. I showed her my credit card text showing they charged my card, not Expedia. I showed her the booking email. She finally printed a receipt and slammed in down on the desk. I said thank you, and she said nothing. The receipt showed that Tru charged my card. She was wrong; she was rude; and she did not apologize for the mistake.

The staff, environment. The price I paid,and being in a room that was close to traffic.Heard it all night long.Even moved and still the traffic was heard.

Didn’t have the breakfast No coffee in rooms, no microwave in rooms, the one time I didn’t bring slippers, floor had sand everywhere prefer carpet There was no one to greet us at front desk Walked through hotel Thinking maybe this isn’t the front desk but after standing waiting for someone We were told that was the front desk and waited til someone showed up. The man in room next to us played his guitar well after 1oclock AM It was not melodic However I like the host vibe, it was cool

The pancakes were very good. The breakfast are was nice. The shower was very stained. Which made it look dirty. Refrigerators do not get very cold. Do not like not having a closet or drawers. I do realize this is the TRU brand. Next time I will stay at a regular Marriott.

I felt a little alienated by the whole dorm room vibe, but the bed was exceptionally comfortable, there are USB ports everywhere, and the common areas are great. The breakfast was truly outstanding with a great selection of quality offerings. Some of the other guests beside me and above me were exceptionally loud until after midnight so it was difficult for me to sleep. I don't know if that's typical or I was just unlucky.

Have stayed here several times, location is great. Staff is always friendly, this time did not have lot of knowledge of the amenities. She did not have a remote for the TV in the lobby asked how we could change the channel she said we could mess with it because she didn’t know how. We were having trouble with the grill outside asked for her help also said she didn’t know how.

There were no towels in our room. The alarm went off at 6am which disrupted our sleep and ultimately woke us up for the day. I recommend checking to see if prior alarms have been set before a new guest arrives in room.
