La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Salt Lake City Midvale

None I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel like I have to review this hotel. The hygiene conditions are extremely poor. There was hair on the bedding, and the floor was clearly not cleaned and was very dirty. The soundproofing is basically nonexistent. In the middle of the night, I could clearly hear conversations and noises from downstairs, as well as the sound of someone next door playing TikTok videos on their phone. On a weekend afternoon, someone who did not appear to be a staff member also knocked on my door. When I asked who it was, they said they had knocked on the wrong door. I don’t know how safe this place is, but the poor cleanliness and complete lack of soundproofing are simply unacceptable.

Deciding factors for me were the fact they had a gym and a pool and had I known that the hotel was under renovation and those features were unavailable, I wouldnt have chosen this hotel. The room was fantastic and the workers were good. Due to the renovations, my bathroom ceiling starting leaking water, right out of the light fixture.

We didn't stay here as it was partially under renovation. They did check us into a beautiful renovated room and then we found out the pool and hot tub were drained. Decided not to stay. The desk clerk was very helpful in processing our cancelation and arranged for a full refund with no penalty. When renovations are done this will be a very nice hotel.

Pool and hot tub under construction hallways are gross and on our floor for the two nights there was puke in the hallways two doors down that was not cleaned room was clean and renovated but hallways entrances were gross breakfast was ok but toaster was broken microwave wasn’t working and only one waffle maker was working

The hotel was under construction so there were many signs of projects being done. We checked in and got to our room to find that it hadn't been cleaned - unmade beds, booze bottles and trash everywhere. I returned to the desk to report to a very grouchy employee. No apology but got a second room. We dropped our suitcase and went to the tournament we came to. When we returned that night discovered the bathroom walls showed signs of something spilled all over the wall, the floors were dirty, only 2 bath towels in the bathroom. When we rang the front desk no one ever answered. The pool and hot tub was closed - under renovation. La Quinta has always had a great reputation of being a nice place to stay, unfortunately this was more than disappointing.

Room was clean and comfortable and located close to highway. Facility was under massive renovation and the breakfast was late and ok at best. When I'm on the road I want a decent breakfast and served on time.

absolutely nothing. the entire experience has been a nightmare. place was under construction at the time of my stay, this was not advertised at the time of booking. the other reviews stating that there are crackheads in the parking lot roaming around are not misleading. phone was disconnected in the room. door did not lock. room was warm and humid. staff was dismissive of my concerns, and worse, insistent that I was not entitled to a refund, even though I cancelled my reservation within 10 minutes of being shown my room. I was forced to find alternative accommodations at the last minute, which was not fun. every part of this booking was as unacceptable as it could get. nearly a month later, the management at the property is still unwilling to refund the charge for the room I never used, or even respond to address the disputed charge. hard pass.

Property in in final remodel stages , clean new refurbished rooms , smell of new paint which was ok, nice changes. I would return to this Property

The $150 deposit that was not mentioned at all. I find that insane for this.

I have stayed there before for a week at a time for work. This time the hotel was under construction. So I understand that things were a work in progress. However it took a quite a while to get checked in but it was because booking.com and they were very slow getting the reservation process through to the hotel. But all in all I was very happy when the nice women who was helping me was very kind and friendly during the transaction and she was relieved when it was completed. Even though it was under construction the room was very nice and I was very grateful to be able to get to relax.. The construction!
