We love this ryokan style accom, the restaurant is just on the first floor of the building/ house. Shared bathroom facility. Free car parking! no breakfast available so have to go elsewhere

Clean, well-designed renovation of a traditional Japanese house. A nice combination of traditional feel and modern facilities. Just 1 minute from the train station but very quiet. Hot water kettle wasn’t working properly.

Check in was confusing, as the restaurant was closed on Monday and the lights were off, so I waited outside after messaging and then realized someone was inside. I can't speak to what it woukd be like to stay while the restaurant is open, but it was confusing to enter the restaurant and check-in in the kitchen.

Convenient location—restaurants, convenience store and station within walking distance. Very clean! Would stay again.

Room 4 has unfortunately no windows… Select wisely.

We liked everything!

4S was one of our favorite places we stayed. The setup is a traditional ryokan. It felt like an authentic Japanese experience. We were lucky in that we had the bottom floor to ourselves. The train station is less than a five minute walk, also there is grocery store that is also walking distance about 20 minute tops? My child and I enjoyed walking to the grocery store and buying fresh fruit. We discovered the large purple grapes, Kyoho, at the grocery store. Also, there is an elder gentleman outside the grocery store cooking fresh chicken on a skewer, oh my! Delicious! This was a quaint little town with stunning green mountains...I lost myself in thought just now, remembering. There wasn't anything I did not like. I liked 4S Hostel and town, everything conveniently located.

Exceptional

We stayed here for three nights, and it was amazing. We also had dinner at the Heso Salon twice, which is part of 4S Stay. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we felt very welcome. The food was great, and we really enjoyed the beers and sake. Thank you so much for everything! Dankjewel! The station is only a one-minute walk away, which is very convenient. If you're not used to sleeping on a futon, it might take some time to adjust. However, for us personally, it wasn't much of a problem.

We had a very spacious room and the location is great, just outside the local train station. On our first night we heard loud guests arriving at 1.00 am, probably drunk guests coming back from a party. You can hear people walking in the corridors easily, however there were earplugs as amenities in the room, so we used the earplugs and could sleep.

Amazing and make sure you eat at Heso salon.

Staff was very helpful and responsive. Dedicated parking spot is just about 100m away. Its free. We stayed at ground floor room so access to shower and toilets was easy. Other shared rooms are upstairs. We also dined once in the cafe, it was good. They have good sake too. The duvet was a bit short in length, so either your feet are exposed while sleeping or you have to curl in. Mattress is OKish, not for light sleepers. Only one electric point available in room.

Conveniently located on the shopping street in front of the station, this is a great base for exploring the surrounding area. There is a public bath a short distance away for an authentic experience.

The accommodation is just 2min on foot from Awaikeda Station. Room and facilities have been very clean. The Japanese style room was very spacious and comfortable. In the front / basement is a restaurant where you can have dinner. The restaurant serves mainly regional game. It's delicious. The accommodation can prepare a sandwich for breakfast which one picks up from the fridge in the morning. However, given the price, breakfast from a convenience store may be a good alternative. Everything was fine.

The property was clean, spacious and conveniently located. The parking was nearby and the check-in was smooth. The reception was responsive :) Sometimes the restaurant below had events or there were periods where no staff were present.

Clean, tidy, compact， have everything that meet the basic need.. Value for money.
