Hotel Finca Alcamino

There’s only one thing I liked about this hotel and that is the lovely lady whose name is Menchu. She is the only caring person I found in this hotel. I will always remember her kindness to guide us as we travelled on the Camino Norte. I believe I embody the spirit of a pilgrim and at this hotel, I found she made me feel like a pilgrim. I will always remember her during this special journey. Unfortunately, the rest of the hotel couldn’t care less.

It was located near the Camino del Norte. The room was spacious and included coffee pods. The beds were comfortable and there was good water pressure in the bathroom. There was an on-site restaurant, although we did not eat there for dinner or breakfast. It was a quiet location. It calls itself an ‘Auto CheckIn’ hotel but I did not receive any information in advance on how to do the check in, whether codes were required, etc. The description indicated that there were no reception staff on site. When we arrived, we tried using the check in screen but it was not working and had to flag down a restaurant staff member to help us. She said the check in machine screen was broken. The hotel should improve the information that is provided so that guests know how the arrival process works.

Beautiful! It’s worth grabbing groceries and wine in the town before and then staying here. Nicest place we’ve stayed while on the Camino and we started in Irun! Complimentary nespresso maker in the room.

The room was spacious, bright, cheerful. The dinner was gourmet. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding. We arrived early and they held our luggage while we went out and played. There was nothing we didn't like

Good car park, excellent breakfast, nice room with jacuzzi. The restaurant meal was disappointing, we asked and were allowed to take our drinks into the garden but it was very neglected, with the room that they have they could easily have a nice outside space serving drinks, I think they are missing an opportunity.

The hotel Alcamino is in a peaceful location, large room with stylish details and very clean and extremely comfortable bed. I was served a wonderful breakfast for an added fee , which I felt was worth it There wasn’t anything I did not like.

The check in was profesional and prompt due to a staff that takes great pride in their work. And check out was a key drop and gone. We left rested and clean… The attached restaurante has amazing food and is worth the time to take a meal there.

The hotel is well placed for pilgrims on the Norte. It is comfortable and clean. The restaurant was closed on Sunday night but the staff made us a simple supper and brought it to our room. Very friendly service. Well recommended.

Nice and clean room with a comfortable bed and an amazing view from the window. The bathroom was the best I’ve seen on the Camino – spacious, with big, high-quality towels. Tasty coffee was a lovely bonus. Highly recommend!

The breakfast was amazing, good start for a pilgrim. Room was neat and clean. No many casual dining options nearby.

Nice large room, clean and tidy (At the beginning) only cold water, on Mondays no staff present and restaurant closed (including those in the vicinity), coffee maker in room didn't work, holder for shower head was broken

Room was large with jacuzzi tub. Coffee in the room. Friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful restaurant attached. Close to the Camino.
