I honestly don’t understand how this place has so many good reviews. It’s extremely overpriced for what you get. The rooms are tiny and nothing like what’s shown in the photos. The “bed and breakfast” is very misleading — there is no breakfast served on the rooftop or in the rooms as the pictures suggest. Instead, you have to walk to a café to get a single small croissant and a coffee, which was not what we expected at all. One of the rooms had the AC unit hidden in the closet, so the room stayed hot and stuffy, and it also smelled like sewage. The AC barely worked, making it very uncomfortable. When we raised these issues with the owner, instead of trying to fix anything, he rudely told us to leave — something I’ve never experienced with any hotel, booking, or Airbnb host before. He kept threatening us that if we left bad review he is going to report us to the authorities. This owner should himself be reported to the authorities. I am happy to provide evidence if needed about that!

We stayed in the family suite for 6 days in August. In short it was one of the best stays Ive ever been to! Be aware that you must absolutely have a car for this hotel. The village of montalbano has all the amenities you need within 5 minutes of the hotel, however theres limited transport to and from any points of arrival or tourist destinations. If you have a car you will have no problem parking street side, and you can reach any destination in puglia in an hour or less. The suite was spacious, the beds were very comfortable and the mattresses felt fresh. Each bed had a full pillow as well as a slimmer one which was a perfect combo The room was recently renovated in the classical style, however all the facilities were new and very clean. The highlight of this trip was the breakfast and service from Mrs. Giusy. She provided the BEST service of any hotel and or b&b I’ve ever been to. She got to know us personally, spoke with us and helped plan our trip every day. The breakfast served was also world class. She would take our order for the next day and bring everything fresh made that morning. Anything left over she would pack for us to take out. If you want an authentic appulian experience, with excellent service, location, quality, price, go to antica via Roma. Nothing of note

Breakfast was exceptional. Everything was fresh and abundant. Giusy, our host was amazing. Always happy and up beat. She gave many recommendations and was always willing to accomodate any of our needs. The facilities were spotless. It felt like home. The only thing we did not like was we left too soon.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Very good room, clean and spacious. Montalbano is a good starting point for a tour in Puglia but has no particular interest.

It was stunning, loved it so much!!! Everything was amazing

Great B&B with super attentive hosts. Giusy was a wonderful host, going beyond expectations to meet our needs. My partner doesn't have a sweet tooth so Giusy very kindly prepared some extra savoury breakfast for us. Room was clean and the terrace area was a nice bonus in the evening (too hot during the day). Although the parking is only on street, it was always available. Good location. Easy to get to, and good point to explore the region. - The room was on the small side which made things a bit tricky sometimes. - The bed was a bit too firm for one of us.

Very nice location and facilities. The structure is brand new, very comfortable and clean. Very central location if you want to visit the area. The staff is amazing!

Gorgeous property with easy free parking outside. The room was clean and well equipped for our needs. There’s a jacuzzi and rooftop area available for use as well. Fantastic service and staff that went out of their way to assist us. I highly recommend staying here! One flight of stairs to get into our room which is something to consider for less abled customers. We were unable to access wifi during our stay but it will soon be fixed with the service provider contacted during the stay to rectify the issue. Something to do with IOS devices not given access.

The courtesy and disponibility of Angela e Angelica during our stay. We didn't had the chance to use the jacuzzi on the terrace, neither in the night or day, because the host told us that It only gets warm with solar rays.

Overall the staff was excellent and treated the guests right. They made us feel at home and we were checked out of the hotel smoothly. For me, it was essential that there are no hidden costs or extra payments, no difficulties at all. All the room rates and costs were the same as when you booked on the website. The room is relatively small for 2 guests although it is more suitable for couples. The breakfast is quite simple so don't expect to have a full English breakfast or anything similar. However, a typical Italian breakfast is good enough for guests to enjoy.

everything was quite new and very well maintained; cleanness was exceptional. Staff member Angelica is extremely nice, the prepared amazing breakfast and asked if we would like to prepare for us what we could not eat to bring to the beach or to the room. I wish her the best. Also Angela, she provided the best attention and she provided transportation for us when we needed it, which is not easy in that area - no public transport, few taxi drivers and we didn't have a car. I would reccomend to rent a car, but in our case it worked prefectyl thanks to Angela. Cannot think about anything that could go better.

Breakfast was plentiful and very good. The staff went above and beyond for us to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The room was clean and cosy. It was a perfect location for exploring Puglia by car. Nothing!

    Exceptional

Jacuzzi and a view from the terrace. Welcoming staff. We had a room on the ground floor and it was very small and dark with a specific smell. In the night you can hear every noise. The pillows were to high. Breakfast was very poor, very small choice of fresh local vegetables, fruits, cheeses, bread, nothing healthy. The location was catastrophic, only few buses per day, very difficult to find taxi. Very small village, absolutely nothing to do there. Water in the jacuzzi cold, it wasn’t possible to heat up. We had absolutely different exceptions from the information and pictures what were shown on Booking.com

    Very good

Wonderful B&B - Antoinetta prepared the most amazing breakfast each morning, cleaned our rooms and welcomed us with open arms. She is a credit to the business and we would come back just for her!

  • Engine customer Aug 2021

Nice location. The host was very friendly and gave me some good tips!

  • Engine customer Aug 2021

This was the perfect location to explore Puglia. The B&B was fantastic. Angela was responsive to every request and made us feel at home. Antonietta makes an amazing breakfast. Highly recommend!
