I stayed at this hotel for one night and was overall very satisfied. Most importantly, it was clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and both check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. For the price, the hotel is really great. The S-Bahn station is only a few minutes’ walk away. There is a petrol station right next to the hotel with the most important basic items, and there are also restaurants, fast food options and supermarkets nearby. It is also practical that there are parking spaces and a garage. The garage costs €9.50 per night, which I think is fair. Overall, this is very good value for money. I would gladly stay here again. One small downside for me was the bed, which I personally did not find very comfortable. However, for one night it was absolutely okay.

Location is good. Hotel room is clean. I recently stayed at the Amber Econtel and, unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations for several reasons: • Plumbing Issues: Both the bathroom sink and the bathtub were badly clogged. Water drained incredibly slowly, which made basic hygiene routines frustrating and felt unsanitary. • Room Comfort: The pillows were quite uncomfortable, providing little support. Additionally, the comforters were surprisingly small for the bed size, making it difficult to get a good night's rest. • Lack of Instructions: The AC unit in the room had no operating instructions. It wasn't intuitive to use, leaving the room temperature difficult to manage. • Service: The staff interaction was underwhelming. There were no greetings or smiles throughout the stay. While this might be a difference in service culture, it contributed to a cold and unwelcoming atmosphere.

The location It is full of mold it keeps you wake at night because of the horrific smell. This is my second time I sleep on this hotel last time was 1 year ago and nothing literally nothing has changed for good. It remains a moldy place.

The hotel is in a great location — just a short walk from Munich’s main train station, which made it really convenient for getting around. The neighborhood felt safe, even at night, and there were plenty of food options close by. The price was also quite reasonable for the area, offering good value overall. Unfortunately, there were some serious issues during my stay. I spotted a cockroach in the room on the first night, which was very unpleasant. The next day, water started leaking from the ceiling, and I had to switch rooms. While the staff did assist with the move, these problems definitely affected the quality of my stay.

Easy access to the city center and driving distance to the historical sites. Great location, and the hotel gives you the experience of the Cold War era atmosphere. The hotel's conveniences were good. Nothing in particular.

The second receptionist, an Italian guy, was very friendly. The room was not ventilated and had an intense moist smell that is still impregnated in our clothes. Bathroom walls had growing disgusting mold. We thought we had a reserve with breakfast, but it was not the case. I guess I did not read the booking info well, or the information was not clearly stated.

The staff, they were polite and friendly. The location near S8 station is useful. Great breakfast. The heat, no air conditioner, no net to open the window, poor cleaning.

Location was ok, close to public transport but kind of far from downtown. We only stayed one night so for the price it was good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beds were comfortable and decent size. Unfortunately our room smelled like cigarettes, very strong, we had to sleep with the window open. We didn’t complain due to the fact we arrived late and were leaving early, just needed somewhere to sleep. We didn’t complain due travel with another couple and their room next door didn’t have this same odor so it’s not all of the rooms!
