Ovea Mykonos

It was a great experience. Would definitely return to Balius.

The place is on a hill, so the walk to get to Mykonos town (especially back to the hotel) is a bit exhausting. But is worth it after all.

The private pool and private jacuzzi. Tv was not working on a rainy evening and we wanted to hunker down to watch a movie.

The room has a nice private pool and jacuzzi, as we were upgraded upon our arrival. The staff are firendly and helpful upon arrival, for the checking in process. As the hotel is on top of a hill, the view of the old port area is quite nice, with a good view of the sunset. Apart from the checking in process, we did not find the staff to be very helpful as we needed to ask repeatedly for new towels, being told "it will be done tomorrow". The cleaning of the rooms left a lot to be desired as it seemed to be done too fast and improperly there were a lot of insects we noticed when we arrived, including ants inside the bed! There was a bad smell in the bathroom that they took 2 days to fix, as well as for the cleaning of the pool. The sound of the old small refrigerator in the room made too much noise at night which was quite uncomfortable. We also noted the staff did not intervene when neighbours in the room next to ours had a fight late at night making a lot of noise. Finally the hotel advertizes being close to the port area but fail to mention the very steep and long stairs to get there, making the return journey by foot to the hotel very painful and tiring. Overall it provided a quite negative experience for our stay in Mykonos.

Balius Mykonos is absolutely outstanding – a true 10/10 experience. The atmosphere blends elegance with vibrant island energy, making it perfect for both relaxation and celebration. Service is impeccable, with staff who are attentive and welcoming. A must-visit spot in Mykonos for unforgettable nights. Highly recommended!

Loved that the property was very private and the location was great. Close to the attraction area but still distant enough for a quiet time.

The resort is located where wind is really strong. Also, pool was not as clean as I expected to be due to windy weather again

The location was good close to center and staff were friendly Nothing was like the picture, poor facilities, dirty rooms and swimming pool,we booked room with privet pool but we couldn’t even use the pool, towels were old and dirty , jacuzzi was dirty, we were really disappointed

The hotel is very close to Little Venice, but a car is still needed since it’s located on a hill. The hotel staff are accommodating and helpful. The outdoor jacuzzi was quite pleasant. No idea where these 5 stars are coming from. The hotel room is literally falling apart. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations (which creates a lot of noise), but in my opinion, it should be closed completely to allow for a full renovation. The air conditioning, the socket near the bed, and the hand shower weren’t working. There are roosters living nearby, so if you leave the terrace door open for some fresh air, these little creatures of nature (let’s keep it polite) will make sure you rise and shine very early. Cleaning is superficial - there’s fungus in the bathroom, the pool area is not properly cleaned, and there are stains on the pool sofas, making them totally unattractive to use. Breakfast was okay, but it lacked variety and was served cold, likely because it was ordered from a third-party restaurant. Overall, I would give this hotel 3 stars at most, and that’s only because of the jacuzzi and friendly staff. The whole experience felt pretty much like a scam, but luckily, we had only booked three nights there.

The staff was very helpful with everything we needed, and super kind. The room looked just like on the pictures, and the location was amazing, far away from the center to have peace, but just 10 minutes walked from the main city centre. The bar/restaurant was still being constructed, which means there was no option of eating or drinking at the resort. This also means that breakfast was being delivered from some outside restaurant and was usually cold by the time it got here. This will probably be resolved soon though.

THE HOTEL'S AMBIENCE IS TOP-NOTCH, THE STAFF – ALL OF THEM – ARE EXCELLENT, AND THEIR CLEANING SERVICE IS SPOTLESS. THEN THERE COMES THE FOOD; THE FOOD IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST. I WANT TO COME BACK. I ENJOYED MY STAY. THEY GAVE ME THE BEST UPGRADE I COULD EVER ASK FOR. THEY ALSO HELPED ME PLAN AND EXECUTE MY SURPRISE SUNSET DINNER. OVERALL, IT WAS WORTH IT.
