Our son stayed at this property a few years ago, and knowing our passion for architecture and local traditions, he recommended Matina Hotel to us. Mykonos is a stunning island, but it is Matina Hotel that truly makes the stay special and unforgettable. This wonderful family—now the third generation of women carrying on the legacy of the founding grandmother—goes above and beyond for their guests. They pay attention to every detail, making you feel genuinely at home, and by the end of your stay, you leave the island with all your plans and dreams fulfilled. Upon our arrival, they provided us with maps, helpful tips about the city, and a book on Delos, since it was one of our planned day trips. Every morning, we enjoyed a typical Greek breakfast in the hotel’s garden, which is a true oasis in the middle of a lively town. We recommend it 100%. Our room was spotless and beautifully presented, with a balcony and wonderful views. The washroom had everything we needed, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the beds were extremely comfortable. A heartfelt thank‑you to Julia, Tanya, and Maria for making our stay unforgettable. We hope this family business continues to flourish, and we wholeheartedly recommend this place. Charming little hotel located in the heart of Chora, 2 min walk from the seafront, restaurants, shops etc. Very clean, comfortable room with a small fridge, kettle and possibility to make coffee and a little balcony looking at the lovely courtyard-garden. A good breakfast with variety was served in the garden. Warm hospitality, friendliness and responsiveness of the personnel who also gave us useful tips and information. The hostess was very helpful and accommodating. The garden was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities nice. The hotel is located within the pedestrian area where no cars were allowed so you have to carry your suitcases - our choice.

Maria at front desk, she’s the warmest, most knowledgeable and helpful person in Mykonos! Central location but in a very quiet area.

Stayed at Matina Hotel in Mykonos and it was truly a delight. The location is central with a peaceful garden oasis, and even though you might catch a bit of the town’s buzz, closing the window keeps things quiet. But the real gem is Maria, who runs the hotel with so much love and care. She’s incredibly warm, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. Thanks to her, the experience was even more special. I had a great stay at Matina Hotel. The location is perfect, the rooms are very clean and the staff is absolutely wonderful, alway going the extra mile.

The location can’t get better with easy access to all parts of the chora. The hotel is actually a big garden with rooms around, giving a serene feeling within the town. I recommend a room on upper first floors because they have very nice balconies for morning coffees overlooking the green garden. Rooms a bit tight and an upgraded furniture would be nice

The daily cleaning was quite good, and the hotel has a beautiful garden. The receptionist also took the time to draw a map of places we should visit, which was really helpful. The room we were given was not the one we were supposed to have. The furniture and bathroom were completely different from what was shown. I’ll attach pictures of the bathroom for comparison. Additionally, the air conditioner did not work properly—you have to turn it on at least 10 minutes in advance if you want the room to be cool.
